That's subjective I guess but overall I would say not quite. I think I listen louder than many and I definitely wanted it to go higher than max volume quite a few times. Ended up spending the rest of the time at an average 70-80% volume I think. Wasn't the ultimate deal breaker for me but it was a con.

Note: I seem to be the only one with this many connection issues on the Triumph, I'm on Android in case that makes a difference, not sure if the other few Triumph owners here are on Apple.
I’m on iPhone, too.

It seems like maybe B&W Pi8 are a direct AirPod Pro 2 replacement, and the Triumph is more a straight up audiophile TWS with some QoL drawbacks.

Is there anyone that owns the aviot te-zx1 that also has the b&w pi8 or it is too early for that?

I would love a comparison between those two, both for sound quality and anc
15 minutes, will do more...want to keep listening, and soon...a very good sign......

Using Tidal > M.B. AIR > Case retransmission > No EQ - No ANC Frankenstein by Edgar Winter == HOLY COW ...the drum solo, the placement, and the timbre of the drums sound very organic and effortless with lots of air. I'm Your Captian by G.F.R. The drum and base together are tight, controlled, full of musicality.
The tambourine hits at the 6-minute mark....the swish.. it decays!

Apologies not very good at the tech stuff. I really like them, very comfortable too. NO EQ or filtering...they feel like a TOTL product.

ZX1 or Pi8...the Pi8 is for sure equal to the ZX1 and could be better.....Frank Zappa's Apostrophe came on as I was taking them out and I had to listen to the end...FWICR I've not heard cymbal hits sound like this. I'll post more later.

Pre ordered these so long ago I had genuinely forgotten I'd ordered.

We'll see I guess ...

Well, I'll give back the Jabra 8s... I still don't know what TWS I should go for. The Aurvana Ace 2 is nice enough with Divinus Velvet tips, but they cannot block wind noise at all. I need a TWS that can do that and still sound good. Any recommendations? The Sennheiser Momentum Sport comes to mind, but almost nobody tried them, it seems like.

Despite a not ideal start, I like the Sony XM5. The ANC is excellent with the stock tips and the sound after tweaking is great.

How is the XM5 with step noise? Do you hear your own steps muffled echo in your head when wearing them?

Don't know if anyone else who has them has noticed, but the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 ANC is incredible. Very impressive here. Had them on for an audiobook in bed and was in a cone of complete silence. Couldn't even hear my wife talking to me . They seem to cut low and high frequencies very very well. Haven't flown with them yet...

I cannot find all the figures but they are 50db and 2x as good as predecessor at cancelling out voices, and their little siblings the "Nord" model claims 48db and 4000hz so I would assume these will be around that also or a touch higher.

The AKG N5 Hybrids are 5000hz, i think that is why their ANC in real use is better than nearly all I have tried and that is without Bose's white noise.

50db of noise reduction? That sounds impossible to me. Most ANC claims are far from what is measured in reality. Rtings actually measures them in a controlled setup and they put Sony and Bose buds at the top at 27db of reduction. Shure and Etymotic IEMs claim 37db of passive isolation as I recall.

Didn’t notice it so it’s probably insignificant but I’ll test again later on today and report back.
@maegnificant so I tested it and there is a thump. It’s there especially when no music is playing.
Ambient mode on and ANC it’s less noticeable but again, it’s there.
This is with the stock tips, YMMV.

I’m using an iPhone with my Triumphs and have no connection issues at all. When I first bought the FoKus Pros, I had bad connection issues, but a replacement fixed the problem.

Update on the Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro+
Not keeping them. They do sound nice but yes the battery life is pretty low with all bells and whistles turned on. Plus the ANC is pretty poor. Even just cutting out fairly low level noise doesn't get muted much. So listening in a room with TV or even my own typing keyboard sounds really come through pretty strong

Love the sound signature but on balance the Earfun is a better value proposition.

Wondering if the upcoming JBL Tour Pro 3 will be the winner
