So, https://www.adv-sound.com/collections/universal-fit-wireless/products/m5-tws-anc , ADV Sound is finally coming with a TWS that now has nearly everything. A better charging case, Qi charging, ANC, ambient, multipoint and the proper control scheme with ANC/Ambient on both sides and it comes with their pricey eartips. $299. Anybody interested?? No mention of codecs though and no app it seems. Also only the up to battery life of 8 hours with no number for ANC on.

I never heard of them. Are they a good company with quality products?

Advanced has been around awhile and they are legit although they have been caught doing some cheap rebranding. I think I'd be cautious at that price, but they are definitely a legit audio company with some degree of chops.

I would say they are comparable to an American version of HiFiman. Better on the build quality though. They have the budget stuff and they have some very pricey stuff. They have their own fancy eartips and they do custom earphones including a custom TWS for $699. Several variations of the M5 TWS but was very basic and featureless before. Plenty of stuff if you search https://www.head-fi.org/search/22450959/?q=ADV&o=relevance The name change from Advanced to ADV Sound makes to a bit more complicated but they have had plenty of products out there. I have had thee or four myself and gave NSMO gaming in-ears as a gift. Quite a few decent cheap TWS but the M5 has been quite slow to advance as far as features. Here is a review of the older one with some comparisons to Senn and M&D models https://everydaylistening.net/2020/03/20/advanced-sound-m5-tws-review-rejoice/

Speaking of ADV, I just picked these up earlier today:

The M5-TWS CIEMs. Quite a departure from the usual TWS user experience, especially when it comes to charging, but it's truly novel as a result.

Edit: lol just as someone mentioned these very IEMs while I was writing this post.

I'm using the Android version.
I use a OnePlus 12 with Android 14.
I also tried and older Xiaomi mi 11 pro with Android 13. Same result with no FW button in the app.
You were able to open Sound Me on your Xiaomi smartphone which is currently using Android 13, very interesting. I had a Sony cell, it came with 13, but updated to 14 on setup and Sound Me worked. If the app is working for you on 13... there must be another variable why it does not work on the M300.

Like Sussy said, the ZX1's strengths far outweigh this issue. What I do till the update/fix is released, is either use my iPhone for listening and S.M. app which works perfectly, or when using the DAP, I can open the iPhone's S.M. app and use it to check settings.

Or got a reason to go shopping for new gear! yea ! : >)

Good to see them succeeding.
