I thought the Nothing Ear 1 was mostly hyped garbage? What did they have going for them?

Actually, for the price, they were surprisingly good. I didn't like the case. Clear plastic, blah. But they made them in black and they fit perfect. Sounded great too. Yes, they prob paid for the hype, but they did deliver. Sadly, sooooo many other options so they got lost in the shuffle.

If the battery wasn't so bad on mine I'd be beyond satisfied with my first wireless IEMs. Best sound? No, but for $99 BT they sound good. If the phone program I use for work would work with these or the JLab BT headset I'd be happier.

Well said... And so hard for any newcomers to enter the fray. There is an embarrassing number of TWS brands now, how are they making money?

Guess they just got lost in the mix. Didn't hear much about them that made them better than anything else.

I have a quick question about TWS earphones. I rarely listen to Bluetooth earphones but I am thinking about buying a high end pair most notably the Noble Audio Fokus Mystique. My question is: my IPhone XR has 4.0 (I believe) and these TWS are 5.2. Am I going to experience very drastic sound degradation, balancing issues, etc.? I am just new to the Bluetooth scene so excuse me if this is a dumb question.

The XR is 5.0 for Bluetooth so you don’t need to worry.

FYI: From a TWS viewpoint, a lot of the apps that connect to the headphones require 5.0+ as they use Bluetooth LE to connect which was significantly improved in 5.0 but playing audio usually only requires v4.2+.

Been debating getting these. How are you liking them? Have any other TWS you can compare against?

I like them over Galaxy Buds Live, Buds Pro and Pro 2, Apple Pods 2 and Sony mx4. I sent them all back with the exception of the buds 2 and pods 2.

Opera05 sounds bette than some of my wired IEM sets. And my custom EQ makes it sound even better. More bass, better note weight, and smoother treble.
