I sort of remember someone saying the warranty is not transferable, but there is a short period (like up to 30 days after original purchase) where focal will repair even for a second hand buyer. The duration of the warranty is dependent on the seller; some stores are able to offer a longer warranty like Jason's store. I can only assume this is because Jason is awesome

I was never able to find a warranty on-line, which would answer soooo many questions. For whatever reason, my Utopia has no warranty info, so I cannot even scan and post it. If anyone has a link to warranty info, post that link.

I know silver cables can nerf the bass, so would a copper cable be better for utopia?

I don't notice the bass being affected. What I do notice with the copper Black Dragons is an almost "wooly" presentation. The highs almost disappear and the bass seems over pronounced. I only use the Black Dragons on very bright material. Right now I have the 20 core silver Lavricables for Utopia's from Konstantin's Master Line and they are light in weight, look and feel great and have a very detailed presentation. No roll offs or exaggeration that I can tell.

BTW, your link describes legal obligations of providing warranties IN FRANCE and therefore the obligations apply only to sales deemed to have occurred IN FRANCE.

I didn't mind the Utopia OEM cable. I was surprised at how good it was. Even if it didn't appear to be of the same high quality of the Utopia headphones. My preference is for XLR connections so I sourced other cables.

Here it is;
Buy from an authorized Brick & Mortar it’s a 5 year warranty
Buy from an authorized online only store it’s 2 years warranty
Buy from a non-authorized store NO WARRANTY
Warranty applies to the 1st owner and is not transferable to the next owner.
Non-warranted product can and will be repaired if requested but of course there is a repair cost charged.

Yes, that is not true. Focal will repair products in or out of warranty.

It’s probably a simple misunderstanding not so much of a personal attack.

FYI, all warranties are established by either the factory and/or the territory distributor. If you’re in France the factory warranty would apply. As for US purchases we receive the warranty from Focal NA and how it has established the warranty program.
