Focal Utopia General Discussion

Yes, so far I can say that this is the fastest driver out of any dynamic and Planar headphones that I have tried, compared to BA driver speed it is still not as fast though.
CA Andromeda is still a little bit faster from my experience.

Not true, BA drivers just lack decay, that's all. The unnatural tone of BAs makes instruments and vocal sounds like coming out from a synthesizer; all nuances are removed leaving a soulless sound fitting for a hearing aid.

It’s not online yet. Sit down I don’t want you falling off your chairs. Sitting? Ok it’s $149 shipped right to your door
Good thing I was sitting!

Looks a great case for those that have a Dave! :) For the rest of us, CaseBUDI, Slappa, and others will probably do nicely.

I don’t have a Dave but it’s still doable at that price.
I was joking specifically about the Dave, but while $149 isn't a lot compared to the price of the headphones, it's 5 times the cost of the others, and the Focal case looks larger Larger may mean better protection, but also uses up more space when traveling. It all depends on what you want. For basic headphone projection, the lesser expensive brands should work for most people. For those that like a perfect custom fit and the Focal logo, the Focal case looks to be great. For those that need Pelican case level of protection, well, a Pelican case (or cheaper alternative like Monoprice) is called for.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried the Audeze $125 Pelican case? This is the travel case included with the headphones (nudge nudge, Focal).

Options are good.

Actually, I'd like to update the first post with cases that fit. I will add the Focal case and the case I use, but if you have tried a case wit the Utopia that you know fits, please post the case and link to it (or to it on Amazon) and I will update the first post.

Here are more official pics , especially the outside;

I take my Focal Elear everyday to work during the week, I am currently using this one ,
which is quite oversized in allndimensions,
but I don't need to unplug the cable when I put them inside:

I put the Mojo inside as well.

But this case is really big, I am thinking of buying the Focal one, the Mojo and OTG cable should fit in

(I put my Mojo to in turn in this case:
