Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements

I received the Dekoni perforated earpads today and I really like the feel of leather on my ears. They are actually very comfortable, and I prefer the look and color to the brown OEM pads.
Sound-wise on the low and mid end they do sound very similar, and on the high end they do need a little boost. Using Resolves EQ profile for the for the Dekoni Perforated pads I was able to make them sound really nice to my ear.
Where did you find Resolve's EQ profile?

I must say the RME ADI-2 FS paired with the Topping A90, just pair well with my MG's, has a nice smooth sound with a more pronounced and authoritative low end, and slightly crisper sound overall. Having the onboard EQ is a plus, just raise the treble +2.0 to my liking. I'm really enjoying this pairing.

Paired pryor with
Matrix Mini I Pro,
IFI IDSD Micro Signature,
Topping A30-D30 pro
&IFI Gryphon.

The Clear MG renders piano in such an amazing and unique way that I have not heard any other headphone do, aside from other Focals like the Elex and original Clear. It retains the subtleties and dynamics of the real piano itself, you can feel the percussive strike completely uncompressed. The Clear MG really makes those type of percussive instruments like piano, cymbals, drums, chimes, etc, come alive. Not to say that it's not impressive with other instruments too, but that's really what stands out for me, the amount of realism and dynamics that come through. Also, comparing to my HE-500, the sense of front imaging is better to me on the Clear MG. Sounds feel like they are coming from specific point sources in front of me as opposed to all around and sort of indistinct like most planars I've tried.

Yes, this. I listen to a lot of classical keyboard music and the Clear MG excels at natural, engaging reproduction whilst still providing detail retrieval and allowing me to listen "into" the music. Wonderful stuff!

I went to Adorama today and exchanged my gold MG's in for the black & red MG Pro. I like the color and rather have the extra pads, then wires that I don't use. They sound the same as MG, just a color swap. I actually have the Focal Utopia pads on order, want to see how they sound with the MG Pro

Absolutely love my Clear MG’s, paired with a Fiio K9 Pro. Playing hi-resolution Pink Floyd just about brings a tear to my eye.

Is there a consensus about swapping out HP cables for better sound…..or is it a typical cable debate with both sides thinking the other is insane?
