Would you care to comment on the sonic differences between MG stock pads and the Dekoni?
Thank you.
A bit more stage depth and treble extension whilst preserving the overall sonic character.

The Ananda stay.
With the Dekoni Elite Fenestrated + 4x 22AWG UPOCC solid silver recable + repositioning the earpads a bit lower and slightly forward (with zero tilt), the Ananda are now a positively transformed, virtually no downside, force to be reckoned with, IMHO.

The MG's ultimate lack of air (and ALL that this fundamentally entails: particularly the unnatural compression of male vocals) was, at least for me, sadly irreformable.

May use the available funds to pick up a pair of the Clear OG--now with reinvigorated certitude, or the LCD-X.

You didn't find it redundant with HE6SE? Agree on MG, they are more for casual relaxing background listening, leather pads open soundstage and make them ever so slightly more aggressive, but it's not night and day. Still good enough for me to stay, I just can't focus on work when listening H6SE.

NOOOOOO!!!!!
Yes. A bit sadly now, and for better or worse.

(I feel relieved, frankly.)

The Elear already give me the one thing I prize perhaps most in open headphones (i.e. top end airiness), whereas the MG--as ground-breaking, technically superior and drop-dead gorgeous as they are--simply do not.

The MG did bring me to the brink of how much high frequency energy I was willing to concede; but, in the final analysis, it was just too much of a trade-off for yours truly.

Plus, I think I have, over the years, developed an "inner sense" of knowing at what point there can be no further reconciliation.

Just switched to more aggressive filter on Auralic Vega DAC, much, much better. More sparkle and impact, really wakes them up.
I achieve more "sparkle" with tube rolls on Elise.

Tube amp can deliver more sparkle than solid state? Okay. 🤷‍♂️
Even 10 years ago tube amps were considered blast from the past nostalgy, surprised anyone still clinging onto them today.
Anyway, my point was that for lethargic phones like MG sharp roll off filter can do the trick.
