Anyone using any aftermarket pads with their MG?

I just received mine this morning and it sounds amazing out of the box. How ever i think to me, it sounds a lot warmer than the OG. At least the mid bass is well controlled and certainly doesn't bleed in to the vocals. I have played it using my MJ2 and it sounded extremely holographic. With my Elise OTL and ken rad vt231 driver tubes, the bass is sublime and well extended. I was wondering if anyone else tried the OG dekoni pads...

Thanks
I use the Dekoni fenestrated sheepskin, 1/2 the price and a bit better balanced iMO than stock pads, AND a great match with Elise!

My Focal Clear MG is connected to headphone out of my TV. I only use the Focal Clear MG for Movies TV Shows. I don’t have a DAC or anything else. Only for TV listening every evening from 9pm to 11pm.

Solid pads? I thought open headphones needed the fenestrated pads ???
Yep. They're solid. I definitely prefer the change in sound to the stock. Better imaging, everything has a more solid feel. Greater sense of depth and height in the stage. I can hear reverb trails and nuances much clearer.

I actually have a pair of the solid Sheepskin on my Eligias, might just have to try them on my MGs to hear how they sound.

I have the Focal Elex pads sold by Drop, they pretty much look and sound the
same as original pads, they are only $60 https://drop.com/buy/focal-pads-for-elex-headphones
I'm using them, too, and haven't really noticed much - if any - audible differences between them and the original pads. And it's soooooooo nice not to have to worry about the ugly discoloration the original pads exhibit.

Not really the D30 pro does not use the Saber dac which is known to be a little sharp. It uses 4 x CS43198 DAC Chips, which smooths the peaks making music less fatiguing.
iiWi has a good video explaining the Dac.

Thanks! I am still breaking in the MG, 28 into 40 hours. Will definitely check out the Toppings!

My MG's New look sporting the Focal Elex black earpads and black wool headband. I like It!

I've had these since release and they still sound great.

Headband is still creeky and they do clip at very loud volumes when confronted with slamming bass in certain frequencies. I use them with EQ...

I compared the Clear MG Pro and Utopia, and the Clear MG seemed much... well. Clearer. More dynamically defined and cleaner sounding. The Utopia sounded a bit mellow and almost rough/mushy comparatively... Anyone else experienced this?
