I concur. Hifiman's main problem (aside from their entry level 400S and 4XX ironically) is the high mid - lower treble transition as it first goes down and then spikes up.
Franz12, not sure if this helps or not, but I listen at low to moderate volume levels and I find the Elear leaks sound much less than the HD800, HD700, HiFiman headphones and the Koss ESP950 and Stax 2050. In my experience, the Elear is one of the least leaky open headphones. Now I am assuming the Clear will be pretty much the same.
Your Clear plug still has the plastic wrap on it, I see that and just want to peel it...
Has anyone here tried the Clear with a Woo WA6?
Heh, I understand completely! Figured I'd keep it on in case I was going to return them. I have since peeled it.
Hahaha I was thinking “he just gonna return it” hahahha it’s like my sister going shopping and leaving the tag on when we was younger cause she really couldn’t afford it... couldn’t even hug her, little snob.. lol
What I want is a Clear that weighs 50 grams.
50grams looking really nice in Cali right about now. Hint hint
You could drill out portions of the headband - if you feel adventurous.
I have the Clear out on loan, and I have a WA6 running UE-596/NU-68FG's. Tomorrow I'll use the WA6 and give you my brief impressions. I'm sure it'll sound fine, the Utopia sounded beautiful with real nice depth with this tube configuration in my WA6.
In some recent posts I've seen lot of feedback about pairing Clear with Mojo. Has anyone tried Clear with iDSD Black Label? Is it good match as well?
Been listening to the Clear/WA6 combo, and this pairing sounds just fine to my ears...a pleasure to listen too. I highly doubt you'll have any complaints if you're considering this combo. You'll also be able to manipulate the sound to your preference with some tube rolling.
