Sweet Jebus....

The Dmagic seems quite interesting...looking forward to some impressions of it. Triple dynamic...that sounds enticing.

The only other triple-DD I've tried is Unique Melody's 3DD-Ti, which wasn't the best first impression of the driver config. Though, I did enjoy QDC's Fusion and how the DD was handled there, so here's to hoping the Dmagic works out.

So just for curiosity sake, just so it happens, in our country right now we are going to get some holiday money paid out due to this pandemic so people can enjoy the summer.

So let's say if you are getting around 4000 USD, what would you buy in iem/headphones/cable/dap or a combo consisting of those items?

if you are patient/lucky , you can make a totl combo with less

i paid (let me calculate...) 'only' 3000$ for my Zeus XR (new custom) + Sony wm1a (used mint) + 1960s 2wire cable (used mint)

i think it's a good setup , and paying 'only' 3000$ instead of 5000$ makes me feel like it was worth it....

Elysium or A18S (64 do discounts frequently), Lotoo PAW6000 and an Eletech prudence or fortitude

More importantly, though, we can finally - definitively - confirm that the anime DragonBall Z is absolutely, 100% real, and that @KuroKitsu has somehow managed to collect all 7 balls during quarantine and had a Dragon King come grant his wish of a $10K IEM. He must be beaming right now. :p
Not sure if I hit a new stage of Super Saiyan from shock or anger (Def the source of beaming though) . Shenlong did ask me if I really wanted this, I just didn't expect it to be QDC of all oems!

I guess QDC saw the LE Erlky and decided they could one up that.

It would depend entirely on what I would ”need” the most. At the moment I would jump for joy if I could spend $4k because I would love a quality desktop setup: Feliks Audio Elise amp, ZMF headphones (Eikon or Auteur) and a decent DAC. But that’s just because I would like a desktop setup. Lots of interesting other options, so it depends on where your own preference are.

Like Collin my OCD has a really hard time with any type of dual-tone stuff, switches and filters. I ignore all filters and EQ on my DAP otherwise I would not stop fiddling with them. :)

it's true. I'm a bit of an EQ perfectionist and find I spend as much time adjusting the filter settings as I do actually listening for enjoyment. while I do enjoy the tweaking, and that's half the fun for me, it can get frustrating and a little self defeating.

The QDC Blue Dragon King priced at 369,000 NTD, or around 12,500 USD.

I'm kinda surprised it took a QDC 10k iem to get people to go gosh that's expensive.

That said, I just snapped up the last Cardas Clear iem cable from Triton. Might be sellingy Leo II if I like the pairing with u12t.

Ehh in reality, it's ridiculous, but this one doesn't actually bother me that much. With the diamonds and stuff, this is obviously meant as a statement/jewelry piece and not targeted at most of us here.

I think prices on iems are pretty crazy as is... Yet I say that as someone who now owns 5 $1k+ iems. So obviously we are willing to pay and as long as we are, they will keep setting prices as they do.
