They took the idea from the automotive sector, using this pattern basically flatten the shape of the cars hiding the details.
But it’s definitely not the case with this iems.
Looking at the video on Facebook the design is very luxurious, it creates an idea of 3D shapes.

Had a quick chat with Sebastian over at Vision Ears to double check and he confirmed...
- The Erlkönig are shown covered in a prototype foil similar to that used for prototype cars
- The foil will be removed officially on May 10th to reveal the IEMs for the first time
- At Canjam Singapore the Erlkönig will be shown, but only with one of the signatures and still covered in foil

Oh yes, absolutely! I love it and it does look great to have the IEMs and the cable match as well. Perhaps we should drop a hint along those lines to Eric, @EffectAudio, since they are working closely with CIEM companies like Empire Ears, Vision Ears and Jomo. "Bring your custom experience to the next level!"
