Besides the hq PW cable I would also certainly give the Ares II (which it came with I guess?) a chance at some point. For what's it worth, I did like that synergy.
I also hope you have a variety of different eartips to check which one gives you the best sq result. Looking forward to your impressions later on

The Ares II sounded quite nice as well but I'll probably have to get it re-terminated with a 4.4mm before I try them again as I really do prefer the Sony's balanced out. As for tips, I'm currently using the JVC spiral dots.

Not sure if you know but the Sony store in Causeway Bay SOGO sells Sony hybrid tips if needed...

speaking of EE , looks to me like EE is the new top dog here in CIEM land - kinda how Noble was back in 2013/4 , only with better ciems and a much more justified hype
