@davidmolliere Don't confuse me man, I've set my eyes on the VX with a 10 months ramen-only diet plan and you're saying there's 4 months alternative?

I don’t know the VX so I wouldn’t know but @Deezel177 probably can tell you more about this...
One thing for sure, the EM64 is tremendous value for money especially in a price soaring market...

@davidmolliere you are an enemy of my wallet :p My source has been subtly reminding to demo the EM64 lately. And in the price ranges we run in? Value for money is a non-sequitur.

@papa_mia I'm in the same boat. U12t, Anole and now this?! Must be suffering to have 10 month ramen diet, they'll be able to put you on display without any preservatives at this rate....

I think he's trying to tell you to leave the moderating to the mods, nothing more.

If you see a posts that offends you personally, report it and move on man.

Just like in real life, we can't do vigilante justice....though it is tempting eh?
Yes exactly my point.

As someone who is meh about his own A12t, I think that when Deezel says that it has an unassuming and smooth signature, it could also be called a straight up boring signature in my book. It's rescued by the totl level technicalities and dynamics but the signature itself is frankly not particularly wowing to me anymore even though it was awesome during the initial "honeymoon" period. Still wondering where that bass went. It's like she lost some weight and her butt is gone.

You should include it in your consideration, but I think for 2k, a more interesting signature would be a better purchase, since other iems just above this price point have the technicalities with an excellent signature to match (VE8 is god). One could also consider the Westone ES80 which is said to have even better resolution and extension than the A12t and have a slightly warmer signature as well.

Based on what you're describing as your preference, Trio would have suited you better. I reviewed U12t and Trio year and a half ago back when those were released, and went over the sound description/comparison here. I mean, both of these are not new releases, but Trio still gets more mileage in my book in comparison to U12t. Of course, just a matter of personal preference.

Should have figured out your preferences before you bought them Mr Epoxy-Sander

Not that Im one to talk, having a mountain of midfi gear myself.

Btw, there's a universal Layla listed for sale in the Headphones section if you're interested.

nah, I'm over the Layla. the unit variation is a little too risky for me. I'm thinking more of getting the VE8 someday, and then making my own iems. I have a new theory actually, one that has to do with driver material surface area and how it benefits sound reproduction. What would happen if I ran a bunch of drivers reproducing a full range of sound to imitate a large headphone diaphragm. I think it's something I'll try to experiment on someday, something like 20-30 RAB drivers in a shell.

These are lovely...the build and sound on these for 300$ makes so many TOTL look ridiculous
