FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

Been rocking the LZ-A2s for the last few days, they really sound awesome for their price! Considering many dual hybrids are priced so. Something came to me though, if anyone has an A2 and an FLC on hand, how does the A2 compare to the FLC8S' red/grey/gunmetal sound?

I'll have one soon-ish...

 i am actually very used to 90 deg angled plugs coming out of my CIEMs but something is just off about this. it probably has something to do with the angle, but basically is too straight and pushes out my ears instead of sitting flush to my head

Gotcha!

Is it possible that the memory wire has broken on these units?

Nah, ive been thinking about it and it's the angle that the connector is at being slightly out of place that is irritating me slightly. Either way, not a big issue since it really doesn't fall out so maybe I shouldn't make a big mess of it

The cable is replaceable so not really an issue anyway.

Well I do agree what you said. About the hook being too straight. I personally think it is too stiff, as the Shure memory cable are pretty soft and feel nice. But I have it face inward so I think that fix my problem. For now.

Seasoned labster Hisoundfi says the $95 LZ A2 is a sidegrade to the Fidue A83 and absolutely trumps the Sony XBA-H3 in SQ! Crazy stuff here.

But does it stand toe to toe with the ultimate hybrid FLC8/S?

That's what I wanna find out. If lucky, I can do it this Saturday. Need to keep burning the A2s in for now.

Oh goody. What a treat! Take your time. I'm sure you'll enjoy both anyway.

Never realised this but Tyll from Innerfidelity has actually measure the FLC8:

NeutralVocalsStrings/Piano; Light Music; and Pop/Rap.

@DJScope: Nice find re: measurements!

@RedTwilight: LZ-A2 are on their way to me, too. It'll be interesting to compare notes later.

Did I mention the pure silver cables are coming soon?

But but, the 8S is already brighter than the original 8 which I own... won't silver cables brighten the sound even more?
