FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

I think I've found my most preferred configuration: gun-metal blue, grey, red

Mids are not too forward and pronounced like the gold and yet it has good bass slam from red tip which doesn't overpower the mids and highs.

That extra bass also helps to make the highs a little less prominent than the gun-metal, grey, grey config, which is more amenable to my ears.

Love it.

This is my preferred config too after many switches :) Green too much sibilance, gold mids too forward and not enough treble, blue is out of question for me. Gun blue seems the most balance and red ULF gives extra subbass which is perfect IMO.

ok, so there is 3 cables? FLc8 cable, flc8s improved cable, then theres a silver upgraded cable from that? Just want to make sure

Yes. FLC8s cable in the lower left, FLC8 cable on top and upgrade cable in the lower right.

It's the one at the top. No braid. No memory wire. More supple. Less microphonics. Copper isn't as pure, though.

One last question. How does bass quality and impact compare to Atlas? I really enjoy atlas bass with gold filters, even red filters

Atlas has better bass quality, in fact is one of the best sounding low end I've heard. But FLC8S treble is more refined, they have more body and instrument separation is superior.
