Most definitely, the E5000 sound warmer and more relax compare to N3.

I cancelled my order as wanted to think further on it - plus I reckon there could be more deals with Black Friday next week. That said, I hope I don't regret it when the E5000 goes back up in price! Researching lots tonight and actually coming full circle back to the E5000. Removed the volume cap on my ZX300 today and that has opened a whole world of joy with my various headphones!

I like the idea of the E5000 being relaxed, especially for longer listening sessions. Tonight for example while trying various sets on my ZX300, I have spent the longest with the AKG Q701 as it's incredibly relaxed - on the other hand, I tried the MDR-1AM2 for a while and although I love them, I found the Q701 much nicer for a longer period of listening.

Never try some of the AKG and Sony headphone before, but for the relax and long term listening deal, the E5000 are definitely worth it!

Has anyone heard any details about an upcoming collaboration between Final and Dita?

I only know that it just manufactured 500 units, and Final are taking care of the shell, whereas Dita is taking care of single DD inside.

Have they mentioned that somewhere?
I'm actually surprised that Final is only responsible for the shell. While DITA is responsible with the DD.
Nothing to take away from DITA's magnificent work in terms of DD but Final's Be DD in the A8000 is for me on the top of single DD performance alongside DUNU with the Luna.

The official Hong Kong distributor has mentioned on their Facebook page.
I also surprised that Final aren’t handling the DD driver. But, anyway it’s probably going to be over 2000USD, which I will never be able to reach.

I must agree on the A8000. I’m listening to it as I am typing this. Off the Kann Alpha on balanced cables. Excellent IEM. How is the DUNU Luna?

The Luna is like the midrange sister to the A8000. It's not as exciting in the low-end and not as energetic in the top-end. But just brilliant voicing in the midrange.
Low-end is warm and punchy but doesn't have that deeper rumble like the A8k, and the top-end while detailed is more on the smoother side.
You can have a read of my headgear review through "here" (shameless insert lol)
I wish I could have it again and compare it to my TG334 and have a three-way battle with the EE Zeus XR-A on the best female voicing in an IEM. (Maybe add in the Wraith on here, since it'll be coming soon to my hands )
I still remember it as having the most ethereal female voicing I've heard in an IEM.

I just checked it out, and yeah, it is quite surprising that DITA is handling the DD. I'm hoping they're still gonna be using the same Be DD in the A8000 with their own Tuning maybe?
Let's just wait and see lol
I'm gonna find a long lost rich uncle and beg him to buy me one...😂

Final and DITA have worked together for a longer time, so (for instance) Final is a distributor for DITA in Japan, while DITA distributes Final for South East Asia. From that relationship the SHICHIKU.KANGEN is their first proper collaboration on a product. I don't have a lot of details and I am careful about what I share, but I understand the SHICHIKU.KANGEN is based on the A8000 with some additions by DITA. The Oslo cable is of course obvious to see and they made some additional changes that (the way I understand it) seems like an evolution of the A8000. DITA are of course highly specialised in dynamic drivers, so I for one am super curious to see what the result is.

Having changed my mind and cancelled my E5000 order, I have now ordered again! Reading more reviews around the web today and just too many good things said about them. I'll probably treat myself again around Christmas to something else - a lot of the pleasure with these purchases is in the hunt...

The E5000 is an enigma, really. I can pair it with 5 different DAPs/sources and get 5 different deliveries of the basic signature. I'd highly recommend getting a balanced cable for them down the line, and the excellent final mmcx assist tool for easier and safer cable swaps. As for source, apparently Apogee Groove is something that brings the best out of them in single-ended mode. In balanced mode I've found the Cowon Plenue R2 to have the best signature overall: zero bass bloat, incredible separation and stereo imaging (very hard to believe actually) and a nice lift in the treble region to unveil some of the upper-register details.

I would also suggest getting an E-type clear tips down the line. They cut down the mid-bass bloat slightly and lifts the upper-mids and lower-treble slightly. If you find the stock signature to be a bit too dark, those will help. However, E5000 is fundamentally a lush, dark, romantic IEM so the essence will remain no matter what pairing you go for - which is a good thing in my book.
