I did the complys with all three of my finals, fibass, heaven VIII and Lab1. Sony hybrids lost sparkle and hung out. Complys brought up bass and stayed with good seal and comfort.

Tried the new Sonorous II and III at CanJam Singapore. Loved them, specially the III.
Finally a FAD Over Ear which is affordable, sounds great and looks like it can be worn in public.

Production costs aren't the only factor going into pricing and retail. Supply and demand, r&d and a whole host of other factors are considered, and if you judge by production cost 99% of audiophile products are grossly overpriced.

Agree with that ! I saw $10 Dac chips in $2000+ daps.

Not for me though - I don't get a good seal with Spinfits on the Heaven VI and the result is a weak bass. Strangely enough the standard FAD Tips still work best for me.
Complys also do the job - but this is one of the few InEars where I am ok with Silicone Tips, so I don't spend on foamies here.

can't help here - I have only had a chance to listen to FI BA SS for a very short while long time ago.

Finally pulled out my 1601SC to try with my Wyrd>Gumby>GS-X mk2 rig. (Gumby is the latest addition.) It might seem like overkill but the DAC upgrade makes a big difference. They are truly lovely IEMs with this rig.
