Sadly, no... Been out of it for a while. Maybe this year I'll finally make to Avic Fujiya and get to try them.

I got the chance to try them out at potafes@akihabara few weeks ago, after hearing it, I got a feeling it will most probably be your cup of tea.

Overall the LAB2 is very musical sounding. I was truly amazed by the (holy moly!) grand soundstage and super precise imaging. however the reason that makes me not liking the pf series is present in LAB2 as well, that is the bass sounds abit lumpy and is slightly warm. but I felt that the LAB2 still requires some more burning in for it to reach it full potential.

Since you like the pf series or the lab1, I can see you liking the LAB2 as well, as I felt the tuning was a mix of the predecessor lab1 and the pf series (all around improvement of pf tuning while retaining its magical mids, to make it sounds more natural and has clearer resolution)

As for the new lineups of f3100, f4100, f7200, I preferred the f4100 the most. f7200 trends more towards mid-high freq, making it sweeter but someetimes might be slightly cold and thin on male vocals. f7200 prat is faster as well but on some occasions the highs also felt abit grainy whereas f4100 is more smoothened out, leading to a more balanced sound.

unknownguardian, what was the source when auditioning them? Would you say that the F4100/F7200 is fairly easy to drive from a smartphone?

oh forgot to mention that. using dp-x1 and lp5 gold for demoing of all models. i feel that the new line up should be fairly easy to drive from smartphone, but f7200 is rather source picky. performance varies quite obviously according to source's sound signature. depth is lacking coming from the dp-x1 compared to lp5

Unknownguardian, is there a difference between the gold and normal SS Cayin i5 in terms of sonics? I've only seen and heard the SS demo i5 at Jaben.

No no. My bad, unknownguardian. Blame it on old eyes. :speak_no_evil:
