Fad ?
Did you consider the limited edition version ?? It's better tuned looks amazing and comes with the best case I've ever seen for a headphone also the pads are better. Comes with XLR cable and 4.4mm
Hi wazzupi, I've gotten a very good deal on the D8000 Pro, the Limited Edition is outside of the price range that I'm comfortable spending at the moment. I had silver plated custom xlr made for the Ananda, the 3.5mm connectors are a fairly thin profile, they will probably fit the Final.

Also I'm not sure about Fad ?

Yo fellas,

I'm looking for a 4.4mm cable for my d8kp, anyone knows good brand in Europe besides Forza? I don't really want to spend 200€+ in the cable :D

I'm gonna get the Cayin ha-3a as the ha-6a was just too much for my d8kp and ha-3a has way more volume steps plus 4.4mm out is less powerful than SE

Thanks!

For the ha-3a I recommend the xlr or Se out and not the 4.4 for D8k. I have no noise on the more powerful outputs so why bother with the low power 4.4. It has less noise but especially on resolving headphones like d8k you can also tell that the 4.4 is less resolving because of the resistor to reduce the noise.

Thank you so much this is very valuable, I will use RCA>SE 100%

No need for 4.4mm anymore then <3

By the way, I got this in a notepad, I think it belongs to you from HA-3A thread
"Amperex / Philips ecc82 (mine are Siemens branded made in Holland, Heerlen factory) + Mazda 6v6gt" I'll be trying to get those haha

My fav combo currently is Sylvania 6V6G + Valvo/Philips E80CC.

Mazda 6V6GT (mil-spec) are the only let down for now but I think I might have a bit of a strange pair since they are GT but in coke bottle tube like the G-models which doesn't seem to be all that common. The ones I've got sound very dark compared to all the other 6V6G I've heard for now and going by the experience other people posted in the HA-3A thread they shouldn't sound like that at all. Maybe down the road I'll try to get hold of another pair. What I'm currently waiting for though is a pair of Visseaux 6V6G. Really looking forward hear them.

I recently also tried a pair of the Tungsram made E80CC. They are a bit punchier but lack a bit of stage and sparkle in the top end compared to the Philips made E80CC.
Philips E181CC are also a very solid choice. A bit more forward, beautiful for vocals. Still very good stage compared to most 12AU7 I've heard but not as big as the E80CC.

Hey Josè. Congrats on the amp pick up. I really love the D-8000 on my WA 22.
I think you’ll be really happy. Just be patient with the tube break in. You’ll get more volume flexibility as well. :)

Hey folks, after reading large parts of this thread and watching every Youtube review on the D8000 Pro, some more then once, I've just pulled the trigger. I'm upgrading from a Hifiman Ananda, the D8K Pro should be with me in about two days. I also considered the Hifiman HE1000SE both appealed to me due to not needing god tier amplfier power.

Thanks for all your insights and comparisons.
What're your first impressions? : )

My first impressions after 3 tracks... YES right decision! Clear OG previously.
It's my first and only planar, yet.
After 4 months, please don't fail or break.
The softer more emotional tracks of my catalogue and/or segments of tracks are even more "upgraded" with it (electronic music).
