@FiiO There is a very handy feature with Android 7.0+ for those with an Android phone called "Instant Tethering" which would make the DAP connect automatically to your phone to use it's data connection whenever both are in close proximity. The question is, is there any plans to update the Android OS to 7.0 in the future?

Thanks in advance!
RK3188 SoC cant go beyond Android 5.1, Thats what i have been told.

So, after listening for a bit I have some complaints.

1. No album displayed. It shows the artist and song, but no album. I want to see what damn album is playing. Most of my music I can't tell by the album art. My old ass iPod does this.
2. No shuffle all function. There is a shuffle, but it plays song titles in alphabetical order. And if there are multiple versions of a song, it plays all of them. I want a smart shuffle. My old ass iPod does this.
3. Info doesn't display on my car stereo via bluetooth. It shows the info when paired with my iPhone using Foobar2000 media player.
Maybe you just don't know what your doing. My X7ii shows album art just fine and shuffles my 12k songs just fine as well .I have not heard the same song yet and it not playing in alphabetical order .
As for Bluetooth I have never used it yet and probably never will .

Hi guys!

Just recently got the X7ii with the K5 for a nice and simple desk setup.

I have noticed a ringing and background noise when I use my it as USB DAC on sampling rates higher thatn 96kHz...

I did a sample video for my friend in portuguese:

The first part is my testing with 192kHz, then I test with 44.1kHz, then back again to 192kHz...

There is this weird ringing on the test file. So I tried testing it with just music: there is no "ringing" as the bell sample, but there is a weird after noise that lags behind the sounds... the transients are just so weird. This all goes away when I lower the sampling rate. (this happens with every test file I have, independent of its resolution)

Also: I have found that at lower sampling rates, the USB DAC has a serious lag issue. The audio is not in sync with the video that is playing. When I use a higher sampling rate, the audio and video are in sync.

WTH is going on?! :frowning2:(((

Please help :D

Dear friend,

Sorry, because of the Internet issue there, failed to read the video. Maybe would it be the warning tone in your computer or software? You may try other softwares as well.

The delay may relate to many factors. You may try setting the usb streaming mode to minumun latency to see if it helps.

Best regards

@FiiO I have a request. In folder view, please add ability to play all songs from the current folder and its subfolders. Right now, it just has the ability to play songs from the current folder.
Dear friend,

You mean play all the songs in subfolders without jumping out the current folder?

Best regards

Not album art... read my words, I said album. The screen "should" display Song + Artist + Album, however it only shows song + artist.

So when your playing a song and scroll your album cover it does not show everything you need to see.

Not necessarily need, but want to see. I'm talking about the text that is over the album art that displays what song is playing. It's like there's only 2 lines available instead of 3. My iPod shows Song + Artist + Album. Would be much easier to show screenshots, however I'm at work. 12-hour shifts with an hour commute each way so I won't be getting to it today.

When your on a song push the screen album until it shows this screen. All of my albums do this and you can leave it on this if you want .

I think next priority for Fiio devs is to optimize the X7 II/Fiio Music performance when using large libraries. Mine has two microSD, 400 and 256gb filled with 12000+ Flacs, HD FLacs and DSD. Skipping to next song in slow as hell (2/3s), browsing the library as well and resume often crashes Fiio Music. When i remove a card (either) it's getting fast again. This device doesn't handle big libraries well. My A&K Kann with the same cards is fast and not laggy as the X7.
Neutron on the same device handles my library much better with no lag when skipping songs. So Fiio Music is the issue.

Dear friend,

Maybe you could have a screenshoot of the interface you are talking about at your free time. So we could better understanding that.

Best regards

Dear friend,

Thanks for the feedback. We will inform the engineers about that for improving. Sorry for bringing inconvenience to you.

I’m going to likely sell my x7 gen II when I receive my Hiby dap like I sold my x5 gen 3. The x7 is built very well and sounds very very good but software and WiFi let it down big time and makes it look amateurish.

I see what you are saying, but then there is no album art... Seems a bit ridiculous that my 10 year old iPod can display it all. Here are some screenshots I took. The one of my truck radio has my iPhone paired via bluetooth using Foobar2000 mobile app.
