It's a TRRS 3.5mm digital coaxial from the X5iii to RCA coaxial adaptor for an RCA coaxial cable to your DAC of choice that has a coaxial RCA input. No connection to an amp.

Mojo, as you know, needs a 3.5mm TS coaxial input. The tricky part is that the FiiO DAPs share coaxial with the line-out so you need to use the 3.5 TRRS to RCA adaptor, to an RCA cable, to another adaptor that's a RCA to 3.5mm TS coaxial, or you need a custom cable to connect to the Mojo.

Personally, I'm not a fan at all of the shared port as it makes it much more complex, or expensive, than it needs to be to connect to portable DACs with a TS 3.5mm coaxial input. FYI, the second Ring is the shared ground with the line-out and the Sleeve is the signal for coaxial.

so thin common looking end to X5III and old looking RCA end to say the Hugo?

3.5mm TRRS plug (thin common looking thing) to the X5iii. The female end of the adaptor to a male RCA coaxial cable to the Hugo.

Fiio uses a specific 3.5mm coax "wiring", so you need this adapter piece to couple it to your coax cable and then to the device you want it to connect to, such as a desktop DAC, Hugo, Mojo, etc...
Coax never goes to an amp, it's a digital signal to bypass the X5iii's DAC

How is the battery from 100% to 10%?
I demoed it a couple of times some days ago and this pic is two hours after buying it. I didnt even look at the battery meter. I bought it mainly for the sound. Guess it comes out of the box at full charge.

the X5iii hasn't officially been released internationally, so the Chinese fw is a little ahead.

You mean FW 1.0.9? I have the X5III and therefore I'm asking.
