  About the issues that some APPs can't store the music to extra mSD card, we now can make it work but the problem is that you can't store to build in memory anymore.  still waiting the final solution from Rockchip.

This solution might be a good fix for those who want to store stream materials since they can buy a 200GB microSD compared to the limited internal memory available! 
 
Let's hope things will also get sorted the other way around, but this fix is quite a good alternative.

If one buys the X5III today what ahould that person do first with this dap ? Put new FW ?

 
Generally yes. You want the latest FW to be implemented in your dap before using it. Sometimes it's minor fixes while other times it's major features that improve with firmware releases.

I'm pretty sure most would not miss the small internal storage for APP's offline playback if they could use the mSD card. Good to see this development.

X5III and Mojo works and so does the EQ. Issue is a static sound every now and then.

At least that's a start! I am keeping my fingers crossed that Rockchip come out with a solution where both storages can be used.
 
Could you please throw some light on FW 1.0.9 and why i can't get the USB DAC to work.

1. When running the Storage mode, your X5III can be recognized by the Windows computer, right? 
 
2. Here is the DAC driver for the X5III: click here. You also can find it from our official website:
Please pull down the status menu and tap Storage icon to change it to USB DAC.
Because the X7's DAC driver can not be compatible with X5III. So if you ever installed the DAC driver on your PC, please uninstall it, then install the above one I mentioned in your computer and test again. 
 
It it still can not work, please let me know and provide more details about the problem.

@FiiO-Shadow Thank you very much. I followed your instructions and got it running as USB DAC. What do you suggest I use as output.. ASIO/ WASAPI or KS?
 
Edit: No matter what protocol i use i really have to crank up the volume on the X5.. say above 95 on H gain. I just want to understand if that is normal.
 
Edit 2: It was that particular track i have that needed more power (Distant Galaxy Op. 81 - Vladimir Ashkenazy).. Other tracks that are better mastered sound fantastic on the other hand with less power.

Yes, the USB DAC is working now, and the USB audio output still has some issues but it works with our E17K and some USB DAC/AMPs

I reckon all updates have english as an option.
After all you will be updating the android system so i don't see why english wouldn't be an option.
