With MP3Tag (PC) you can open folders containing mp3's or single mp3's from your harddrive or memory card. Even if the memory card is still in the player.
I don't think it would be very handy to install it on the FiiO though.
That's the best news I've seen all day. Already added it to my wish list, but I'll have to wait for the price to come down...$249.99 is pretty expensive for such a tiny thing. Still amazing they get 400 gig in such a small card.
Seems like most of the issues with cards are related to 256gb, unless I am not remembering correctly. My 200gb cards are fine. I'm also fine with capacity at this point, have no real need to go bigger.
Seems like they have just invented the need for a DAP that can store & play lots of BluRay & 4K music videos with stunning pictures to match stunning sound (Fiio x9?).
I purchased the X5iii in June after enjoying the X5ii for about a year. I love the hardware on the X5iii. The build quality is top notch. I really will be glad once they get the firmware sorted. The glitches are annoying, especially the overspeed playback of some tracks and the fact that it will not resume from the inline headphone controls when running on battery. Please Fiio, release a 1.1.8 firmware that fixes everything that was broken by the current release. Otherwise, I am really loving this device and use it everyday. It also makes a great podcast player. I have the red one I use at work and a black one on the way for use at home.
