Neutron's log file did not seem to contain the correct log. (You also need to create a logs folder)
Therefore, this is the debug log of Android Studio.
Also, neutron's 32 bit output setting had to be invalidated.

- FLAC 24bit/192kHz : working (24_192_flac.txt)
- FLAC 24bit/352.8kHz: not working (24_352.8_flac.txt, error log: 352800 Hz is not a supported sample rate)
- WAV 24bit/192kHz : working (24_192_wav.txt)
- WAV float32bit/192kHz : working (float32_192_wav.txt)
- WAV int32bit/192kHz : working (int32_192_wav.txt)
- DSD64 : DoP playback with noise (dsd64.txt)
- DSD128: DoP not working (dsd128.txt, error log: 352800 Hz is not a supported sample rate)

The following is the log of FiiO Music.
FLAC 24bit/352.8kHz can be played. It seems that processing is done as 176.4kHz * 2 from the log.
Audioformat = 10 is not used to play the DSD file.
Audioformat = 7 (ENCODING _ DTS) is set in DSD64.
Audioformat = 8 (ENCODING_DTS_HD) is set in the DSD128.

AudioFormat | Android Developers
https://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/AudioFormat.html

I have not got any information from FiiO about sample rate above 192kHz file and DSD file.
If you want to play these audio formats, I think that you need to confirm details with FiiO.

- FLAC 24bit/352.8kHz: working (24_352.8_flac_fiio_music.txt)
- DSD64 : working (dsd64_fiio_music.txt, audioformat=7 -> ENCODING _DTS)
- DSD128: working (dsd128_fiio_music.txt, audioformat=8 -> ENCODING_DTS_HD)

Edit: insert log file link

wau, perfect work...

Perhaps a topic for a new thread?

Hello,

Wich one is better (just sound) : (SE and/or Balanced)

Fiio X5 III VS Fiio X7 MK II with AM03
Fiio X5 III with A5 VS Fiio X7 MK II with AM03 or AM3 or AM5

Thanks

That would depend on your personal preferences, what type of headphone(s) you were driving, and what sort of environment you were using the device in. For example - if portability was an option, your earphones were relatively easy to drive, and you liked a velvety smooth signature - then the X5iii by itself would be ideal. If you prefer a signature which is a little more linear, then an X7ii might fit the bill better. If you are driving both sensitive IEMs and also harder to drive headphones, then I'd suggest the X7ii with both an IEM/balanced module and possibly the single ended AM5. If you are using really hard to drive earphones - then either the X5iii + A5 or the X7ii + A5.

There is no "best". There is simply preference, and personal taste plus personal situation will probably lead you down the right path.

Anyone else using that test versoion of neutron get random times when after a song is finished it closes itself?
For example it did this 3rd time in a row and when you look at lockscreen it shows the neutron info and track it played but after you unlock it goes to home screen and neutron is no longer running.

Well that's the second time I've got the fiio x5III boxed up and ready to go back. I really want to like it but just can't. Don't like the size, don't like the way the back plate gets warm, don't like the volume wheel. It's not just that. I just struggle with android in general. Didn't like the sound much. Felt it was pushing the volume with fairly easy to drive iems as well (Custom Art Music Two's and Brainwavzs budget model). Struggled a bit with my sennheiser hd25's as well.

I would ask again : X5 III vs Dx200 in balanced mode ? The Dx200 is twice the price, should be clearly better...

I read through the “features” and the FAQ list for the X7 Mark II
(there is no manual available).
I saw no reference to relevant new features beyond those already available
in the X5 3rd gen.

I saw no reference regarding searching for a song and then having options to:
  • Play
  • Add to Now Playing
I guess Fiio just can’t figure out how to do this.

Power button on the top is a nicely needed improvement, but there is no improvement on the flaky volume wheel, and the X7 Mark II does not have “Dual AKM AK4490EN DACs”
$649.99. For what?

If it wasn’t for the wonderful sound of my X5 3rd gen with the Dual AKM AK4490EN DACs, I would abandon it, in a New York minute….
