Hi everyone, i need a little help with my M6. I ordered it from Aliexpress in 2018 and its been excellent. About 3 months ago i unplugged it from my iPhone charger (always used this) on my way to work and it froze. I was running late so i just hard reset it (Power + Play for 10 sec). After the reset the backlight came on but the display did not show any image. I pressed play and music resumed, touch screen functionalities still work and other functions continue to work well (bluetooth, vol, etc). Its been like that for about 3 months now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Dear friend,

The touch screen work but you could not read anything via the screen? If seems to be a hardware issue with the LCD display. Can you read the FiiO icon when turning on the M6?

Best regards

No, the FiiO icon does not show when turning on the device.
Dear friend,

If other functions work fine, it may be a hardware issue with the LCD display. You could contact support@fiio.com about that for help.

Hi,
Probably a silly question but I've been searching for an answer to this question for ages and I can't find a response.
With the M6 being an Android device, does it resample your music or does it play it bit perfect?
Dear friend,

If the the third party app does not have own decoding library, there will be no SRC when using it. And the FiiO Music app will not have SRC(supports bit perfect).

Best regards

I'm a Linux user considering buying a FIiO M6 and wondering does the player show up as an MTP device when connected? I want to sync my library and playlists that I've already made and want the convenience of using desktop library managers instead of copying everything over manually.

Is there any news of a new version of this? I can’t see any Android daps of this size anywhere

Dear friend,

Thanks for the interest. There is no MTP driver for Linux system comes with the M6. So we could not promise the compatibility about that.

Best regards

Dear friend,

Thanks for the interest.
For the successors of M6, we are currently not planning and conducting any new research and development due to two reasons.
1) There are no appropriate processors. At present, there are fewer and fewer processors available for digital products. It is impossible to find qualified processors with appropriate cost, volume, power consumption and performance.
2) Nowadays, Bluetooth amps or little tail DAC/Amps equipped with smartphones have become a portable HIFI solution for many people. If mid-end players want to be outstanding in music experience, it may at least be equipped with Qualcomm 425 + 3G RAM + 32G Flash to meet users’ requirements. But in this case, the cost space for the audio part will be minimal. Even if we made it, it may not be as good as a Bluetooth amp or a little tail DAC/Amp, and cannot compete with mobile phones in terms of its music experience.

Best regards

Hi, i'Ve just bought this little player. I miss there something You've done with M5 volume buttons - an option to set fastforward / rewind by the long press volume "+" "-".

For me it's important - during long walks or joggings i Listen to mix-sets and f/forward via touch panel is inconvenient and disturbing.

That's all (for now)

There's no option to have the side buttons scroll forward or back. You only have the option of pressing in steps for volume control or skipping/replaying tracks by holding it down

Yes, i'Am aware of this, but the same was with M5 - only last year they upgrade firmware to volume control buttons be able of ff/rew with the long press, but AFTeR You choose it in settings (You know - You choose previous/next or ff/rew - i Prefer ff/rew). iT would be addictional functionaluity, which wiLL no harm to anyone :)
