[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

Bought an M6 but I cannot install the supplied MTP driver (SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_1590.exe) on Win 10 Home due to security reasons, even from a user with administrator privileges. Is there any plans for releasing a driver version up to the Win 10 security requirements?
Very strange that i dont have a problem with that driver on WIn 10.

Finally I have completed my M6+L2+Mojo setup.
The only problem I have is the L2 seems to be affected by RFI when M6's wifi is on. Anyway I download all my spotify music offline so I can let this go.
My Mojo+iphone5s/X have no RFI issue using the meenova cable also my old setup Mojo+NW-A55 using the micro-WMport cable have no RFI issue.

Did anyone use a remote controller with M6?
Fiio RM1, Satechi, Tunai and etc.

Thanks,

To be more specific, the message says: “This app has been blocked for your protection in Windows 10. An administrator has blocked you from running this application. For more information, contact your administrator” My computer is running Win 10 Home in my house, so it is not managed by any central administration department, like a enterprise computer.

According to this source:
“Even through you run the application with administrative rights, you’ll get the exact same error. This problem could happen when the application was digitally signed with a revoked or intrusted certificate”

I would like to know if someone else is experiencing this problem or is something related only to my win 10 installation.

Did you try running it as administrator from the right click drop down menu?

Yes, but to no avail. I had to run de driver from an administrator-enabled powershell window, right-clicking over the Windows symbol. Then I was able to install the driver so now I can access to the M6 internal memory and the card as well.

Thanks for your answers.

Glad to know it worked out for you. New win 10 versions have some strict signature policies.

Hi, I'm interested into buying this one, but when I'm looking for reviews I found this Youtube video showing there are noises when you switch wifi on and off (14:50 mark). Is it an isolate incident or all units have this problem?
Also I wonder how good its performance when playing 24/96 lossless and beyond. Thanks in advance.

Does it work fine as USB soundcard with Aptx HD and LDAC?
Dear friend,

Do you want to connect it to the Bluetooth when working as USB DAC? If yes, it could connect to Bluetooth headphone with APTX HD or LDAC when working as USB DAC.

Best regards

Dear friend,

I failed to reproduce the issue in the video. We will report to the engineer for checking first. You could also have a try by yourself in the local store.

Best regards

I tried to email support@fiio.com twice but I did not get any response. Here is what I wrote to them, just in case someone have the same issues.

“I have tried my M6 with 2 different USB headphones, one is Pixel and the other is Oneplus bullet.
The device did not work with both of them. Is that because I got a bad copy or because technically it does not support audio out from the USB C port?”

Hey all, I just came here to let you know about my battery which I thought was acting strange in the past days. So I had a battery drain even when not playing music, in sleep mode with everything turned off. It turns out it was my OnePlus USB-C bullets. Since they have an internal DAC it seems the M6 was always providing energy and the device didn't sleep. Now, when I disconnect the USB-C the M6 seems to sleep normally again. I just thought I would share my experience in case any other people have the same problem.
I could not make the M6 works with my USB-C Bullet. Do you need to change anything in setting?
I tried it with other USB-C headphones as welll but it doesnt work, I bought the Bullet because of your comment so it’s weird that mine doesnt work, or maybe because I got a bad copy

There is a setting in Fiio music... USB output mode.. try toggling it off and on.. try both settings to see if that works.

Has there been a fix to the audio delay that occurs when using the M6 as a USB Dac ?
