[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

I’ve had Fiio M7 and Hidiz AP60 PRO, within the past month or so and sent both back because of thin sound of M7 and sketchy firmware in both cases. I lost faith in Fiio and my go here with M6 was a last chance for them by me. I’m happy to say its worked out perfectly for me, no stuttering bluetooth from my iPad Pro like both the previous had, much more dynamic sound than either of the others. I’ve used each one the same 2 ways as a DAP and as a Bluetooth DAC from Spotify streaming from my ipad. I know I have even more options available to check out now that I’m sure the M6 is staying put so eventually I’ll check into others if need be. I’m completely satisfied with the M6, the sound was just right from the first listen and it hasn’t dropped a Bluetooth signal or stuttered once yet. Thanks again Fiio, I never thought I could get something shipped to me in the states from China in four days when ordered the week before December 25th, it still amazes me!

I just got the Fiio M6. There is a few things I want to point out:

1. I selected the date and time and I powered it off and when I turned it on, it changed to the next day and the time changed completely.

2. I think it would be nice that the screen should tilt landscape.. but if the dap doesn’t have an accelerator than maybe when you swipe down it should have the “tilt screen settings”. When you watch a video (thru ES file explorer) it’s kinda annoying when you can’t tilt the screen...

Otherwise no major bugs, the system does not work the fastest I’ve ever seen but pretty well.

Dear Fiio if you read this please take note.

@FiiO
Please whitelist a Music Casting app so that M9 can transmit WiFi as well as receive it. That would make the FiiO M9 the No.1 Android DAP.
Steve
Dear friend,

We have reported to the engineer about that when you reported to us via email previously.
But the engineer will need to check the feasibility of adding it to the white list first.

Best regards

Hello, Can Fio M6 work as a USB DAC and BT transmitter simultaneously? I need play music from PC to BT headphones with aptx or LDAC codec.
Or can play files from PC via DLNA (wifi) to bluetooth headphones?
Thank you

Dear friend,

Yes, the M6 can work as the bluetooth transmitter at the same time when working as DAC.

Best regards

Dear friend,

Did you select the correct time zone as well?
Yes, the m6 doesn't support Gravity induction, so it would not rotate the video by itself. Unless the APP add the rotation function instead.

Best regards

Dear All,

I'm looking for a portable device that acts as a bluetooth receiver/headphone amp for streaming music from my iPhone when I'm
commuting and as a quality lossless player and / or USB Dac for critical listening at home. I was first checking the Radsone EarStudio ES100 which
checks alot of boxes, except being a standalone player.

The FiiO M6 seems exactly what I'm looking for, but It is not completely clear to me how it acts as bluetooth receiver. It does not seem to be able to
receive AAC over bluetooth (which iPhone / Apple Music uses to stream audio over bluetooth). I'm not yet very familiar with Airplay; am I able to
stream music from my iPhone over bluetooth to the M6?

Thanks alot!

For Airplay your music device and source(iPhone in your case) both have to be on the same WiFi network. Once you open spotify there will be a small icon to choose whether you want iPhone or the DAC you have connected.

Will the rotation function be added?

Selected current time zone, now works well.

I think it would be really nice if you guys would have a built in video player. I know I can watch videos thru es file explorer, but it becomes glitchy and the volume doesn’t work well with it.

It does have Bluetooth amp mode.

My M6 arrived today! Just did the settings. M6 is scanning music right now. This seems like a really cool device.

But I have a question concerning the 'digital filter mode'. Which mode should I use? I found this on the Fiio forum: http://fiio.me/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=42106 , but on my M6 there are only 3 options, and none of them is listed on the fiio forum.
Any help please?

Ok, just been playing around with the M6 for a while. Noticed something I don't like (and where I though of that the guys over at Fiio would have solved), namely; when you select the last added albums it only gives you a list of the last added mp3's. When using this mode it would be easier if it would be sorted by album, like on a smartphone. Can you fix this in a future firmware update, Fiio?

Btw, my question is still there concerning the digital filter mode... Would be nice if anyone has more info about that
