I’m using the USB-C port with the blue outline, though I’ve tried both. And I‘ve been following the USB DAC instructions from the video the whole time.Dear friend,
Which usb port are you using? And did you tried the factory restore?
Please follow the steps in this FAQ to check again first:

Best regards
I’m using the USB-C port with the blue outline, though I’ve tried both. And I‘ve been following the USB DAC instructions from the video the whole time.
I’ve just completed a reset with no change. I’ve tried on multiple PC’s, and neither the FiiO driver nor the update utility sees the M17. It’s mounted for file transfer, but it’s not seen as an audio device and isn’t recognized by any FiiO app.
I’ve also tried on Macs, iPhones, and iPads. Nothing sees the M17. I’ve been going back and forth with support@fiio.com for 10 days now, but they keep telling me to do the same things over and over. The final email I received last night blew me off and told me to wait for an official firmware update. Pretty infuriating to be honest. I’ve installed multiple firmware updates over the course of ownership and never been able to use DAC mode, while other users are doing so without issue.
I also ordered a Q7 to check that a similar device will connect to my computers, and it works without issue. The problem is the M17.
I didn't see any lint or anything, but I blasted the ports with compressed air and tried again. No luck. Appreciate the suggestion!I can't say for certain, but a hypothesis of mine could be that the issue you are experiencing maybe related to pins of the blue USB-C port, which may no longer be functioning correctly. In other words, data file transfer is fine, but audio protocol communications are borked as (some) of the pins aren't working.
Just for the sake of checking, have you inspected the port to see that there is no lint inside?
Of course, I'm just hoping it is that easy of a fix, but I acknowledge that you may have done a heroic job of troubleshooting anyway and that the issue is more likely a malfunctioning USB-C controller on the mainboard of your FiiO M17...

Nothing else from @FiiONo problem, really really hope a super easy missed step somewhere in troubleshooting can resolve your issue, however at this point this would be a warranty repair issue requiring RMA.
Strongly hope @FiiO are reading and can contact you in a DM to help you further, and I sincerely hope a resolution is found!

Dear friend,I listen almost exclusively in Roon mode. However, I find it a little annoying that when navigating within a track, it often just jumps to the next one. And with "Next track", one track is usually skipped. Is that just me? Or is it a known problem?
