Amazon showing $650 for the M11Pro. I should jump on this as I was a former M11 owner. Before I do that, can somebody answer these questions for me?

Has the Amazon music HD app been fixed on the M11/M11 Pro?
Any comparisons vs the DX220 + amp8?

Cause you already posted the exact same thing 6 times. The wanna be know it all can just GO back and read your 6 duplicate post.
Maybe those 6 previous posts were in reference to a different topic or quoted in a different context.

@szore
M11 pro better than A&K 1000M in terms of sound quality. That`s a big statement.
Maybe THX have reinvented the wheel new!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
The pro is a game changer, A&K should be scared... I just got my PW Limited cable today, sounds phenomenal with the CL2...

Tough audience tonight.
I notice the level of discussion on the Fiios forum is generally of a lower quality.

What are you trying to achieve?

The technical specs of sp1000m are better in comparison to m11pro. Better SNR + THD.
Right, but the M11 Pro SOUNDS better...it's the same DACs, it's how they are implemented. I found the upper mids on the 1000M to be slightly congested. Also, the M is very neutral. The Pro has a much better sound stage. The mids are airy, not congested, and the Pro has More detail, and much better Soundstage, much better depth...And it's more dynamic, and the bass is better, layered and rich in detail...

Yes, but those specifications have been essentially irrelevant for at least a decade now. Even nasty garbage can produce SNR and THD specifications well below the sensitivity cutoff of the hearing brain. Does a THD of 0.03% sound worse than 0.0035%? Apparently the point at which we can detect SNR level reliably is quite a bit lower than anything we are used to seeing in specifications today. By way of comparison, modern CPUs have been so powerful for quite a few years now, far more powerful than people require to surf the web, check e-mail, download a movie, write Word documents etc …, that doesn't stop the major companies from engaging in RND and pushing out CPUs that are even more powerful, far beyond what the majority of users need. Yes I know for very specific needs such as 3D design, animation, gaming it can matter, but I'm talking about the average joe who buys a computer for normal everyday stuff. They could arguably do everything they need with quite a bit less CPU power.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but people talk about these insanely low levels of THD or insanely high levels of SNR as if we can really hear these infinitesimal differences, and through music no less. Those things can be measured, but I would pay any human alive who could reliably hear the difference between 0.05% THD and 0.00005% THD.

I get some of your points but from a technical standpoint your comparison and your argumentation is poor. Should we stop technical progress just because the average joe doesn`t need it? I don`t think so.
But back on track.
If the m11pro sounds better than sp1000m than I´m even more interested in what Fiio could achieve with m15/m15pro.:)

Yep I agree. I think FiiO made too many compromises in the design of the M11 Pro compared to the M11, and I reckon all of those will be reversed and improved upon in the M15 series. At a price, of course, but the M11 Pro itself is not that cheap. I believe by the time the M15/Pro gets released the M11 Pro will be selling at or below current M11 levels, which is probably where it belongs given the strong competition in that price range. We’ll know soon enough.
