Are there any new features you would like us to add for the M11Pro still? The engineers are still working on the new firmware now.

There are some features I’m really missing, amongst which is AAC for BT but I understand this is SoC limitation.
But the biggest thing I am missing, and what is keeping me from upgrading to M11 Plus, is the lack of system-wide EQ. I know this is a feature with a lot of debate, but in my opinion 700$ DAP’s should have a system-wide EQ if even a simple phone can have it. I hope you will consider this in future FW upgrades.

Other than that, I think the M11 line is great and I love my M11 Pro and the fact that you’re engaging with us here on head-fi!

I would like to see the following feature:

If the screen is flipped on the player (so the plug is on the top), the volume wheel would also be reversed. In other words, no matter what the orientation of the screen, no matter where the plug is (top or bottom), rolling the wheel up increases the volume.

Not exactly sure how this happened but a limited number of new M11 pro’s just showed up on Amazon sold by Fiio. I would guess it’s “found” inventory.

So I installed the new FW on my M11Pro. I now apparently have two versions of FiiO Music. It/they work, however there is a major problem I cannot get around - the FiiO Music app is preventing any other app from opening. If I close FiiO Music, it instantly restarts. I don't have a chance to see the desktop to start any other app.

When I reboot the player, FiiO Music starts automatically -actually, 2 versions of it start automatically. I cannot get around this. The only other parts of Android I can access are the settings - I have gone into the Apps setting and 'Force Stopped' FiiO music numerous times - no result. The 'Disable' function is grayed out. I have also toggled back and forth between Android mode and Pure Music mode - no difference. I have rebooted numerous times - no difference: FiiO Music starts up, and if I try to shut it down, it instantly restarts. I have no access to the desktop or other apps.

This is a huge problem for me because 50% of my use of this player is wifi-casting to networked speakers with the Hifi Cast app. FiiO Music is preventing me from accessing this and all other apps.

Does anyone know a solution for this? Hoping not to have to factory re-set....

Sorry - I should have said the latest update for FiiO Music App: V3.0.5

I finally got past my dual FiiO Music Zombie Apps by turning off all their permissions in Android app manager.
But unfortunately now the other apps are all misbehaving.
I have a permanent notification covering half my screen wanting me to choose FiiO as the default launcher.
Hifi Cast - I have the premium, paid version - no longer works.
It also seems my M11 Pro's wifi will not stay connected.

This M11 Pro had worked flawlessly for over a year until that last update. Seriously, 30+ years of dealing with software in my life and developers still cannot get even an incredibly simple device like this to be stable.

What are the version numbers for the two versions? One of them is probably not the correct one. I would recommend going to settings, apps and uninstalling (or uninstalling updates) for both versions until you are left with the original system version. Reboot and then install the latest update for "M" series players. Do not install the version from the Play store - it's not intended for Fiio DAPs.
