How many volume steps M11 takes for HD6XXs to be reasonably loud? On X7II with stock amp takes 90 - 100 depending on the music.

I find that on high gain with the 6xx i start listening at 80+ and into 90+ with some music or my mood.

If connecting to my receiver Marantz 6012 I have been using the setting spdif out. What happens if I used line out for HiRes does it get downsampled before reaching the receiver ?

Yes.

Open up the included ES File Manager, Menu, Remote Manager, Turn On. You now have turned your M11 into an FTP server.

Then open an FTP app on your computer and transfer files over.

(The ... on Remote Manager allows you choose the root directory, so you can select the home folder (or SD card) which the FTP app will see)

If you use the built in option for wifi file transfer in the Fiio app, it will only let you add tracks not actual folders, which sucks

I use Solid Explorer to connect to my music server via SMB, and can then transfer any file or folder I like to either SD card on the M11 via copy and paste. Works well, and faster than USB.

S/PDIF is digital. Line out is analog. When you use S/PDIF, you are sending a digital signal to the Marantz, which uses its internal DAC to convert it to analog. When you use the line out, you are sending out an analog signal, decoded from digital by the M11, and the Marantz is just amplifying it.

not really, Maybe a few, my printer is not a production unit. each one is about a 3 hour print on my printer. And i think shipping costs might make them cost more than they are worth.
