@intlsubband Sony did it in 2009 with the NWZ-X1050 which had on-board noise cancelling technology.

Yeah... That's not how that worked. For the Sony implementation the mics were on the earphones. Proprietary connection to the dap. ANC processor on the DAP. Flawed concept for many reasons I can't be bothered to write down.

The mic on the dap idea is impossible. You need high coherence between mic and anti-noise generator i.e. Speaker.

Attention Fiio: The M11 costs 499 Euro here in Germany. With a suggested USA retail price of 449$ this is unacceptable. I was very interested in the unit but at that pricepoint i wont be getting one. Please tell your distributors to stop beeing bloodsuckers.

Government placed taxes.

I dont think so. USA has taxes too . Most Audio gear here is priced 1:1 compared to the US. There are certain distributors that try to grab some extra cash. For example the Hifiman Sundara goes for 349 Euro while the JDS Labs Atom goes for 159 Euro which is a bad joke.
USA has much less taxes. One can ship a home amp with no taxes when it lands in USA. Europe once I ship it the Government imposes a give tax before the buyer picks it up.

Hi guys,

I'm a happy owner of M11 now. I have a question about charging. In the quick start gide it is mentioned that is recommended to use QC 2.0 compatible charger. Is it ok if I charge it with my ipad charger which is not QC 2.0 compatible? Will this affect battery life-span?

Another question: which digital filter is preferable? Never understood the differences between those and barely hear a difference.

Slow charge (non-QC charger) is actually prefered to get longer lifespan of the battery.

As for the filters, If you don't hear any difference, leave it stock and be happy.

It should be 449€, but when you do the math, it is somewhat closer to 499 than you think.

449$USD are 394,14€, add taxes (21% here in Spain, similar in Germany, right?), and it becomes 476,90€.

479€ would have been fair if we do proper conversion, but 499€ is not too far off.

That makes sense but as i said most Audio (and non audio) products translate 1:1 over here.

All hail the NHS, they saved my life over last 3 years.
Anyways, M11 costs £450 which equates to 502 eur. So some equality within Europe.
Some nice discounts out there (12%) in UK and may ship to mainland Europe.

Oh aye I have nerve damage the NHS are real heros

Has anyone had a problem with slow transfer of files when connecting the M11 straight to the PC through USB. I'm getting around 10-12 mb/sec vs removing the sd card and using on a reader at 50-70 mb/sec? I think the wifi maybe faster but can't let you decide where to store the files.
