Can anyone tell me what the purple SQ sign next to a track means?
I thought it stands for "standard quality" for 16 bit tracks, but the same is displayed for 24 bit ones...

Anyone tried connecting the M11 to an external desktop DAC?
Seems like the M11 is offering 2 ways of doing it - USB Audio out, and SPDIF / Coax out... which should be better? Most of my library is 16/44 FLACs, with small percentage 24/96 FLAC.

I wondered about this and search turned up this: http://fiio.net:8000/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=43729
Please correct me if M11 uses a different convention.

I have been using M11 as a source for my Yggy via SPDIF. I haven't tried USB out and, of course, Sch**t don't do DSD so no telling there. I will say that M11 is a muuuch better interface than my RPi/piCorePlayer. I love that I can have a common source at my desk, on the go, and then bed :)

    I used it that way.

It should all sound similar. USB Audio out is most convenient most of times, unless you have the proper cables to use Coax or SPDIF

I do not have a single DSD track... Which cable did you use for M11 --> Yggy? Does the M11 come with appropriate cable in the box as accessory? If not - can you post info or link for the cable you're using? Thanks!

Downside of USB as far as I can tell - you cannot charge it at the same time. Right?

Ideally, if I end up getting the M11 - I would use it like @Ojisan as transport for desktop setup PLUS on the go... 2 x 400GB cards would hold most of my library!
So... while using as transport / source for desktop DAC/amp - I would want it being plugged in and push music to DAC at the same time. That eliminates USB out, I think...

A related question - is there a recommendation for desktop base / stand for the M11. I recall FiiO had similar devices for X3 / X5 back at the day...

M11 comes with a short 3.5mm to SPDIF then I connect it to standard SPDIF cable.

Since the connector is straight, it’s tricky to let it stand. I’m thinking about building my own wooden stand.

Can't say about sound. Never had an Ibasso. Featurewise and port options, most likely an upgrade. Yes, can do line out from 3.5mm, both regular aux to an amp or SPDIF. Never tried SPDIF though. Enjoy it when you get it! :)
