@FiiO does the M11 have the same output power from 2.5mm balanced and 4.4mm balanced outputs? Does it have a ‘turbo’ balanced mode like the M9?
balanced means both 2.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, so yeah the power is same for both outputs.

Yes I know. The reason I ask is that the HiBy R6 Pro has far more output power from its 4.4mm balanced out (750mW @32 ohm) than its 2.5mm balanced out (300mW @32 ohm). So was wondering if the M11 is the same or if both balanced outs are equivalent in power (which would be ideal).

that's due the muse opamps that hiby has implemented which are far superior than the original r6

Ah, good to know. The M11 will be plenty powerful at 550mW - more so than the original R6 and even the X7II with all but the AMP5 module. Hope it retains some of that power at 300ohms.

Just keep in mind that that 550mW is for a balanced connection..single ended (at least at the quoted 32-ohms load) is considerably less. It's even less than what the X5iii can provide and overall pretty much on par with the AM3 module

This is true. Fortunately I never use SE on my desktop or mobile. Balanced or nothing, if only for the extra power. The FH5's also sound significantly better balanced out of the M9, so I'd expect the same from the M11.

Everything sounds better from m9 balanced output not only fh5. Dm6 and kanas pro both sounds much better. Balanced is the only way to go with m9. So i believe m11 will be not worse in this. Only the main interest what sound tuning will be m11. It should share similarities with other m series daps.

Fiio X5 III has almost 700 mW (30 Ohm) on Bal turbo, so that 550 mW is far less.
I wonder if the M11 will have balanced turbo mode. I’ve asked the question earlier. In any case it’s already twice as powerful as the M9, which isn’t lacking any power for IEMs.

as far as I have read about the m11 reviews, it is said to have a linear and flat sound signature. So it should complement well with all kinds of head gear

So then it should be step up from x5 line, as linear and transparent tuning really good for all kind of headphones. Really interesting when fiio will give m11 for early reviewers to have more information about its signature. As other thing we already could imagine. In china they already selling them, right.

from the spec itself, should we expect M11 to have better sonic quality compared to Q5/Q5s? specifically about detail and instrument separation etc
I would say no. Because, q5/q5s has the added advantage of interchangeable amp modules which plays a huge role towards delivering great sound quality and I personally feel that the q5s paired with the thx amp module should in theory beat the m11.
