@FiiO - I purchased the FH7 last spring, and paired them with your BTR5. They sounded amazing, I did notice some time I would get a popping or cracking sound, I switched filter back to the reference as I was using the bass filter. Now they seem to be completely blown and popping and cracking sound at every volume all the time. The are definitely blown, does Fiio back this product or is there a manufacture warranty or any assistance that can be provided???

I would advise you to give a read, here on Head Fi, on the comparison between the Fh7 and the Blessing 2
Then if you want to go a little higher there are the Clairvoyance ...

Is there anything better in 500e range?
A friend of mine will be visiting in two weeks (he lives in Germany), so wondering if I should order this or something else.

I'd recommend checking out the DUNU DK 3001 Pro (I've compared the FH7 a little to them in the tonality section of my review https://www.head-fi.org/threads/956208/#post-16219138) and Sony XBA-N3 (discontinued but still available, for example on Alza).

What I personally really don't like about the FH7 is how dominant and exhaustive, intimate their central midrange at 1 kHz is. Otherwise the tuning is quite decent.

I have 2000j now, so I would rather skip Dunu (I also don't like the looks of 30001 pro).
They would probably be way pricier in Europe.
