Hmmm an upgrade on the M3... My M3 is my only DAP, I love it for its diminutive size and long ass battery life, I used it everywhere, and kept it in a leather case when I don't, it always have a charge when I need it, rarely miss a beat.
My only problem with it:
1) It can't play shuffle for library with over 6000 songs, is this fixed?
2) I sometimes need Bluetooth, can't have em here I guess
3) LineOut
4) Some songs just can't be played on it, despite the correct format, it's just boot out.
I guess I can't have everything on the M3k,

I'm a bit miffed on the lack of support on the M3 so a bit averse on trying this new model of the same price range from Fiio, I guess my only choice for the features I mentioned would be the M7.. Tho it may be a bit too big as the only apsect I sacrifice.

Finally got a M3K and have been using it for last couple of days. Just wondering if anyone here has noticed issues while skipping tracks using the volume buttons when the screen is off. For me, skipping tracks works most of the time. But sometimes, long pressing the volume buttons doesn't do anything. The tracks get skipped only after two or three attempts. I am worried if I get a faulty unit or if it's a firmware issue.

@FiiO, Wonder if you are familiar with this issue. If it's a hardware issue, I have to return my unit.

We failed to reproduce your problem currently. When this issue happens again next time, you could enter-system setting-about M3,and quick click the play button in the left side for at least 10 times until ‘copy log done’ appear. Then share us the files from m3klog folder to us for check.

For the 6000 songs shuffle play, we have tried 15000 songs in shuffle mode without problem. Are there any certain settings of your M3K?
For those songs could not be played, you could share the music files to us for check as well.

It's only me or alphabetical order in " browse files" mode is screwed in M3K.

P.S. I'm on firmware 1.2.1 (it was the same on 1.0.5).

You need both “ Resume Mode - Position” and “Gapless” selected for the distortion to happen. Then if you turn off the player right at the end of a track the next track is distorted as it starts as the player is turned on again.

We have communicated with the engineer about the problem you mentioned. The file name of your music files include number and the mark'-'. Currently, the design of the M3K could not support the sorting with '-'.
If you don't mind, you could try to remove the '-' for help.
