Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread

Yes, they have been retuned-- all of them. I previously thought they were just rebadged, but after speaking with Andy about the nature of the internal changes (air pressure, recalibration, efficiency) and then A/Bing Bravo : FXA, I stand corrected. What I can say about them is that the FXA re-iterations of the Bravo series amount to the kind of changes that would have earned a separate designation on the older AS(G)x models (ASG1, 1b, 1+, 1.5, 2, 2.5) and thereby are more significant than I would have given credit for. After listening to the FXAs, my opinion is that they are 'prettier' in presentation, particularly between 1000-3000hz.

Much respect~

I'm not sure, if I understood this correctly? The new Fenders have been returned, because they have been faulty? What do you mean by "prettier"? Less fatiguing?

Re-tuned as in having the frequency response adjusted, not returned...

so people who have purchased them months ago will have different tuning than new ones sold

Very excited for FXA6 Pro impressions still. Wonder when they will start showing up for sale in the Americas.

EDIT: Spoke to an agent at American Musical Supply and they said they should have the new line-up around the 15th.

$400? same price as the FXA6? what's the difference between regular and Pro version?
Is Adorama mistaken the regular FXA6 with the FXA6 Pro version?

Same thing for the FXA7 Pro here

I think these are just the regular FXA6 and FXA7, there's no way that these are the Pro version

They are the Fender Pro series. If you see no "Pro" it is because they just left that word off.

Anyhow , I'm curious about the FXA2. It is 6-23,000 while the FXA6 is 6-22,000. Is the FXA2 really brighter perhaps in the style of the Rockets but better(balance) or a Kicker evolution with a treble boost(V-shape perhaps)?? We do need impressions for the tuning on all these :)

A website I have seen themm on in the UK lists the Pro version of each number as the same as the non Pro, except all the Pros just come in black. In other words, unless I'm missing something Pro just denotes a black colour scheme rather than the different colours for each different FXA.
