$1400... OK, belay my earlier post - I really DON’T need another IEM! I buy that and my wife finds out I will need to enter the witness protection program!

Yeah, I certainly will need to explain my next $120 pair of S8f's to my wife..... That'll be a tough sell. I already own so many $100 pairs of headphones like the RHA cl2, the ibasso it04, etc....
I think part of the membership agreement of head fi is to be willing to lie to your spouse.

So I kept most of my audio gear out of state where I was working, and that was a fine solution until the time I was so sick that my wife had to fly out to care for me and see to it that I was hospitalized... After I was discharged, let's just say I had some 'splainin to do...!
Ok, got confused because of S8 Pro being compared with A/U18t in terms of sound sig.(where crinacle described it as "Warm V-shape. A rather simple and "mainstream" tuning refined to an extremely high level").
I have received my S6RUI today. I would say that they are great. Can't find anything wrong with any department so I'd say that they are an easy buy recommendation. As for high mids/sibilance sensitive people, these are fine. Probably borderline close but no peaks in sibilance or any uncomfortable area. They are musical and engaging.
Wow. You could get the S8pro, S8F, and a solid DAC for the price of the ACME. That needs to be one BA IEM for that kinda money.
As soon as I see a confirming FR graph of S8pro I am ordering it in all clear no logos.
To clarify what someone referenced. The S8pro Company FR graph looks very similar, near identical to the U12t/u18t from 64 audio, that doesn’t mean they sound the same. And have much less BA and no Tia driver. But it does look to be same FR when looking at graphs.
