Probably should reshell to custom. The MD Zeus has a much better shape than the OG Zeus, but I still had problems with it.

Yep. I'll give them a try but I'm looking into who to go with for the reshell. Seems like there are a lot of option these days.

I hear Naga thrown around a lot. Been considering buying a MD Zeus and having Naga reshell for uni, the shell of the MD doesn't really inspire security in me

hey @olddude , i see there is another 1960s 2-wire (with 2.5mm connectors) for sale now for 640$

maybe get it as a backup/to use with your 2nd zeus ?

I have my Ares ll 8-wire on it. Or I can swap that out for my Eletech Fortitude, which is like a much cheaper 1960. Had my PlusSound Exo copper on it, which also was warmer than the Ares, but I'm selling that one. I was getting bored during the lockdown so I ordered the Eletech but it got hung up during the virus lockdown in Singapore so I found the Exo on the PlusSound website already put together and since PlusSound is about an hour's drive away from me, got that really quickly. Then it all got screwed up when you guys found the link to the 1960 and I got that. THEN the Eletech arrived. So I sold one Ares ll 8-wire. Now I'll let the Exo go. Still have too many cables.

A cable is an asap priority imo. Gotta budget for a cable AND the iem. I tried lying to myself with my mist recent iem, the stock cable was a nope, the forza hybrid was a nope. PW Saladin was really good, but I ended up going for Leo II.

Btw PMing you for a decent cable with the Zeus. But it'll requre changing the connectors.
