I can agree with those Athena impressions. The most impressive part is just how clear they sound while still maintaining a rich and powerful signature.
@ Jack:
I'm curious - do all the EE CIEMs follow a philosophy of avoiding the use of dampers?
Hey everyone. Just wanted to drop in real quick to let everyone know that i've been extremely ill. I've apparently caught the "NAMM" flu. When you're shaking hands and exchanging currency with numerous people from several different countries you're bound to being exposed to foreign viruses. For the time being if you have any questions at all about your orders please contact Jimmy at Jimmy@EmpireEars.com. For product inquiries please contact Doron@Empireears.com. Sorry for any inconveniences.
@Henke: If it's the original B1, I didn't find it overly warm on its own but it does have 10 Ohm output impedance. When I tested Zeus with Soundaware Esther Analog DAP which is very warm (much, much warmer than B1) and also has 10 Ohm output impedance, I had the same results as you did - immediately noticeable and drastic reduction in the highs. Personally, I think it's the high output impedance. Stick with low output impedance sources like Mojo, and you'll get that good, honest Zeus sound!
