I was trying to install the latest driver on my Win8.1 Laptop for an hour or two yesterday, manual install, uninstall, reboots, different ports and everything.
I got it working in the end but after listening for a couple of minutes, the driver/device just disappeared from the system.
Also the DX90 only is recognized on 2 out of 4 of my USB ports. Very very strange behaviour.

That's actually pretty common and usually has to do with USB-3 ports not doing well with USB-2 audio protocols.

Far out, I just made an interconnect using Mundorf gold and silver wire, it has sent transparency and balance through roof when using my DX90 and P4 with Muses02 + LME49600.

Have you modified DX90 itself, or this is an external amplifier built with those components?

what about the tick I hear between tracks? more noticeable with classical music. using the Lurker software and gapless on. should I go back to stock 2.10 software?
 
I still take the.cue file out, that always caused issues. is that supported now? thanks

Yeah, I read about this as well. I tried plugging it in a 4-port USB hub to 'convert' the USB 3 to 2 since all my laptop's USB ports are all 3.0 but I think other than speed it will still be 3.0 I tried, oh well.

It also doesn't work with USB Storage. It's not detected at all.

Been currently using the DX90 with the Havi B3's and it has been very good experience thus far, and am happy with the sound quality improvement over the rockbox iPod 5.5. Anyone pair the DX90 with the iBasso PB2 with good results?

For balanced the pairing of the PB2 and the DX90 works great. For the HD650, it brings these headphones to life.

I'm really impressed with rockbox dx90. I tried it paired with arrow amp and it sounded worse. It sounds better than my iPhone 5 headstage arrow which was my go to portable setup
