I have figured out getting songs on the DX90 - what I was doing before was opening iTunes and dragging the artist and all the associated files over to the DX90 or SD chip - thinking that the file structure would stay intact - it doesn't - but if I open finder and look at the files themselves (the same sort of program as Windows Explorer) I can look up albums and artists - then drag over the file structure and it remains intact on the SD card as well as the DX90 - whew!

That's better...

That's exactly what I meant when I said iTunes folder structure. It's via finder and not the iTunes GUI.

Yeah, I completely agree with you about the bass out of the DX90. It is glorious. It is my favorite part of the DX90 sound signature, right out of the box too, with no burn in yet, and it sounds amazing. It just hits so hard and is so tight and controlled. It is noticeably better bass than out of my iPhone, that is for sure.

One thing I noticed is that none of the equalizer presets really sound that great. They all sound like big steps down from non-equalizer. Anyone had good custom settings for the DX90 equalizer that they like and want to share? :)

I wouldn't use any EQ's ever, no need really, sounds so good without, improve your headphone collection if you find the sound lacking in any way like bass etc.

Hi, I got my DX90 on Saturday, Dx90 with my Ath L3000 and FitEar 335 bass are impactful, fast and 3D but not so on HD800. Bass of DX90 depend very much on your 'phone.

Totally agree with you even though my HD600 can be driven directly on the DX50, my Pico Power and DX50 makes it sound way better.

The battery in the DX90 sure depletes fast, can't get anywhere near the DX50 consumption. I spend more time switching batteries. It's costly driving two dacs and the improved amp stage. I now carry a spare fully charged battery in my portable kit. What's been your experience?

I know some owners have used fatter batteries with the back case removed but I don't want to do that and it's not looking good. It's a trade off I guess. I was thinking of using a battery backup and use it in my pack but the decent ones with enough power are about the size of a sizeable amp so now back to the stack. I think I might just keeps using a spare battery and switch it when dying. :frowning2:

I fear this will be the only way for me too, the 2 I ordered are 2900mha and I guess will be ever so slightly not fitting

Hey guys does anyone know if depending on the gain you use it will have an inpact on the battery life. I find that with Dita there's no sound difference b/n low and high and wonder if it will save battery on low?

DX90 sounds a little digitally clicky on some tracks, but I guess that'll go away in a couple of weeks.fingers x

The KINPS battery is rated at 3250 MAH and provides longer run time than does the stock battery. I have used these batteries successfully in my DX50 and they are also working fine in my DX90. This battery is exactly the same size as a stock battery and the player back fits on OK.

I have not done any timed runs to exhaustion with either my DX50 or DX90 using these batteries, but if I can stop listening long enough, I will do so.
