I’m lucky to have it for a while, and even though I’ve already spent some time with it, I still alternate with the AMP15. I love the highs and the dynamics of the AMP15 when you crank it up with planar headphones, and the AMP16 with dynamic drivers. The AB mode isn’t bad either.

I agree Amp15 with super gain is my favorite. Was not blown away by Amp14 with 340. I have chance to try Amp16 wonder if it's worth it.

I wasn't impressed with AMP14, for me it has recessed/veiled highs, little more punch at bass section than 15, so switched back AMP15 and prefer it more. May be for some bright iems or headphones 14 suits better, smooth sound.

Amp 16 (AB) is not that different from Amp 15. Amp 16 has a little more bass but I feel like 15 has a bit better soundstage and a bit better highs. Of course this is just my opinion. I still prefer 15.

Personally, I preferred Amp14 than Amp15 as I usually listening to female vocals.
It adds that slightly thicker and lush mids with a tasteful tube favour.

I share the same impressions of the AMP14 too.

Find both AMP15 and AMP16 (especially with Super Gain) just add that little something extra.

I concure AMP14 was analog for me but sparkle highs still. For my tastes AMP15 or 14

Any UM owners here they have a free refurbishment program right now. Your set does not need to be under warranty. In USA Andrew at MT is open to sending bulk batch of iems which will save a lot in shipping costs. I will contact MT to get details and post in this thread. Probably will take awhile. Good thing I own a spare set

I used the amp16 with different headphones/iems. The amp 15, for me, has a little wider stage, the amp16 a little less wide but more vertical than the amp15. Both are super nice amps and liked both the best with 12v through my powerbank (I don't have a linear power supply).
I can imagine I'll be using the amp15 for more critical listening, and the amp16 for relaxed music listening with in one hand the dx340 and the other hand a nice whisky . But the AB mode is close enough to the amp15 so I don't know if I will switch that often...

The Verum (planar) loves tubes, I noticed this with the kaei tap 1 and now with the amp16 it sounds so much more musical, ofcourse everything is personal, I like the warmer/analog sound of tubes on the verums .

In Mango you are given the option to charge while being used as USB-DAC you just have to select it.

Yea, i'm familiar with that but wanted a solution to use with a phone or any other device that cannot supply enough juice
