Yea I reached out to Bloom and Paul when I stumbled upon the issue. When 103 came out it said it addressed some charging issues. I found out that Bloom was also talking to Paul later on when I contacted them. After Bloom was able to recreate the issues I was seeing on my unit on their unit with the chargers I sent them it ruled out an issue with my unit exclusively. None of those guys know me from some bum on the street. They probity get 100 messages a day from different people. It wasn't till Bloom got involved and sent the finding to Paul, based on the 10 or so chargers and banks I sent them that 103 was released shortly after and supposedly addressed some charging issues. It did not however correct what I see with SOME of the higher wattage PD chargers. I get the feeling that it is an actual HW issue possibly with a trace length or something. I also don’t feel like its high on there list of things to correct or investigate since it doesn’t seem to affect most people and its easy to just change chargers. Ive found a setup that works, most people will not even notice the issue till the take it off the charger and notice its not charged, or notice the battery icon flashing on and off when its charging and turned off. I never paid any attention till I took it off the charger and it was dead. I plugged the cable and charger I was using back in and watched it and saw the battery icon going on and off. After I got it charged with another charger I turned it back on paid attention to the green battery icon when android is booted and it would go from white to green repeatedly. Thats when I got the USBC tester and started looking at the voltages. As Ive stated it seems like it can’t negotiate the 5v and 9v quick enough and the pd chips either on the charger or the 340 cut power as a precaution to prevent overcharging. As Im sitting here typing this a thought just crossed my mind. It could be some type of lag in the system. I haven't tried to debloat or optimize. I may give that a try and see if it makes any changes. I feel like most people are using your debloat instructions and the other percentage got lucky with the hardware they choose to power it with. Its like bad reviews people don’t complain if they don't have an issue. I just like people to be aware incase they do stumble upon it like I did. I was extremely upset that they wanted me to send my unit especially after the bad run I had either the 320.

The battery bypass mode is new to ibasso and still needs some improvement. For instance, having to plug in while the unit is off first to have the bypass active. Why not having the bypass ability when plugging the usb charger at any time regardless of the unit power state on or off.
Hopefully this can be done via firmware.
Fiio's desktop mode / batt bypass is far more advanced.
One feature i would like to have on 340 beside what i said above, is the ability to manually set the % of battery saver charge limit at any level 50-100% depending on your preference.
That being said. Ibasso really outdid themselves this time with 340. i've been ibasso longtime fan since the dx100, I've had dx200, 300, 240, 300max. And once i demoed the 340, no brainer ordered a brand new set. Listening music on it is just simply fabulous experience which so hard to put down or stop.

That is how I know as well. Just tested DX260 MK2 on 100 watt port MAX USB C port and charges no problem while DAP playing music.
DX260 MK2 is not a bad DAP. It is an improvement to MK1. It does not have 340's larger stage where every note has its own space to shine with great micro details and of course no Super Gain so AMP section is not as good. Its also not as analog sounding. Bass is better on 340 with SG as well.
I maybe getting an AK SP4000 loaner from Bloom to root and optimize and create guides as I look to expand my DAP guides to cover others as this has become the hobby for me. It will be interesting to see how it matches up with DX340. My guess is DX340 will beat it easily. For the record I would never own anything but an Ibasso because I want a DIY friendly company and ability to change battery myself. DX340 will last me for many, many years.
@jstuart83 I will raise this issue when I talk to Bloom next week. This needs to be fixed. There is no excuse when it works on DX260 MK2 that has bypass tech. Do me a favor. Drain to say 75% and then power off. Plug into USB C on battery bank and turn DAP on. Does battery charge or stay at same level on your unit? It is suppose to charge battery and then goto bypass. My units will go into bypass and not charge battery. If plugged into USB C while ON it will use battery but say its charging. If you want to run command for battery its dumpsys battery and you can screen shot the results. DC12V powers amp card directly but even without it bypass should engage when both analog/digital batteries are at 100%. If you use DC12V all the time like me the analog battery is never used for anything. Digital powers the unit operation/boot up.
@zeroshiki It will be a FW fix. I agree DX340 is a no brainer buy. Best DAP out there! 6 months from now all this will be resolved. Who cares about battery saver? Battery can be replaced so easily - 10 mins and with battery bypass you only need it to boot. I would like to see a battery bypass indicator icon along with SG indicator. Speaking of booting DX260 Mk2 boots a lot faster than 340.

Leivianthant I just saw you edit. I asked Paul about the battery bypass. Ive included a pic of the response he gave months back. My understanding is that both the DC 12 volts and the USB C charging port both have to be plugged in and the battery is at 100 percent. There is some discrepancy in whether or not its actually in bypass or not since there is no real way to tell. I think its better to do it the way Matt recommends by plugging the cable in while the unit is off and at 100 percent. According to Paul the expected result is that it just goes into bypass automatically when the unit is charged to 100 and the DC is plugged in. Its another quirk that the 340 has. Im not so worried about it anymore. The battery is easy to get to and replace I've removed it once already.

Mine always charges the battery regardless of how or when I plug it in.

What you’re describing sounds a whole lot like what I was fighting. Next time you plug in, stay on the home screen. The screen should sparkle from bottom to top and say charging, after a second or two that should go from charging to charging rapidly if it’s switching from the 5v standard charge to the 9v fast charge. If you see it going between charging and charging rapidly that is one of the ways the PD issue presents it self. I had some chargers that would work plugged in and not on or they would cycle a few times and then stay on. Im just guessing but I'm wondering if your units are not going into rapid charge when you power in with the units on but triggering rapid charge when its off. The statement from Paul I have about the battery bypass I did not think to ask him if it required the full 9v fast charge to activate or if it just requires 100 percent charge. Based in his response I'm going to assume it just needs to sense 100 percent charge. I do know if your trying to charge this thing on just the standard 5 volt charge and use it you will be charging all day.
