iBasso sells a CB19 cable that should work for your solution.Yea, i'm familiar with that but wanted a solution to use with a phone or any other device that cannot supply enough juice

Did you try it, I have it but I think it is only supplying 10w and no moreIBasso sells a CB19 cable that should work for your solution.

Hmm…I’d think any power bank with a usb A output would be fine…I’m uncertain about any 10W max requirement limit…why do you require that much wattage?Did you try it, I have it but I think it is only supplying 10w and no more
I'm not, I just think that the cb19 is limited to 10w charging which is not much for the 340Hmm…I’d think any power bank with a usb A output would be fine…I’m uncertain about any 10W max requirement limit…why do you require that much wattage?
I understand what you’re asking now…since the power (charging connector) on the CB19 is usb A, the wattage output is limited to the max power output of a usb A port (maybe 12 watts max)?I'm not, I just think that the cb19 is limited to 10w charging which is not much for the 340
Yea, probably.I understand what you’re asking now…since the power (charging connector) on the CB19 is usb A, the wattage output is limited to the max power output of a usb A port (maybe 12 watts max)?
How about connecting a usb A to C adapter on the CB19’s usb A connection?Yea, probably.
Tried that, I guess I'm asking more than can be achieved right nowHow about connecting a usb A to C adapter on the CB19’s usb A connection?
I tried it, it works fine - when you select charging mode while in USB DAC, it basically keeps the battery topped when you connect USB-A to a powerbank.Did you try it, I have it but I think it is only supplying 10w and no more
It just keeps the battery at level no ? Or you get it to charge to 80/100 (depends on your choice)?I tried it, it works fine - when you select charging mode while in USB DAC, it basically keeps the battery topped when you connect USB-A to a powerbank.
I also use the same powerbank to power DX340 via USB to keep the battery up and also at the same time use another USB -> DC cable for 12V input to get the super gain mode. This also works fine.
Yes, I keep it at 80% and it stays that way.It just keeps the battery at level no ? Or you get it to charge to 80/100 (depends on your choice)?
The new FW update has not fixed this?? I will get in touch with Bloom if it has not. You can use 36 watt USB C too. I use that for battery bypass with no issues. They now have started flashing the newest FW as of Thursday so should be easy for them to replicate. The DX 340 will charge at two different power levels. 5vdc 2amp and 9vdc 1.67amps. 9v charging is considered rapid charging. On the lock screen at 5 volts it will say charging. At 9 volts it will say charging rapidly. As the battery gets closer to fully charged the current will drop decreasing the wattage. 5 volts charging is slow, very slow. There are some issues with usbc PD chargers of higher wattage than 60w causing the DX 340 not to charge right or charge cycle on off on off ect. Not all of them but some. I ran an extensive amount of test and sent a box of chargers to Bloom for them to verify the issues I was having. There unit had the same issues and well as some other members. IBasso wanted me to send my new unit back thinking there was an issue with it. That was before the last update that said it addressed some of the issues. The chargers that would charge cycle for me are still issues. I have found a solution this far thst works perfect for me. Using at least a 35 watts usba to usbc cable I had no issues ever with the charging. I believe that when using the usb dac it defaults to 5 volt charging. Im not sure if this is by design or if the usbc port on computers can supply 9v. Further back in the thread its discussed.
It has not, the Anker and slim w products that I sent bloom to test still will not charge via usbc and PD. I really cant see any difference, but my gut tells me that its a hardware incompatibility utilizing the snapdragon 665 which was released in 2019 by Qualcomm. According to the spec sheet it supported QC 3.0 which was originally a USBA standard, I think, which is why you wont have any issues charging the 340 via USBA as long as the charger can supply the wattage to trigger the 9v rapid charge, which as you said 35W should be plenty to achieve this. Most current USBA chargers are either QC or iQ compliant or both. I have not seen any official documentation saying the 665 supports PD. Im pretty sure “most” modern USBC are PD standard that are suppose to be backwards compatible with QC. I think that samsung had some QC USBC chargers for their phones back in the day. Anytime you try to make something backwards compatible it doesn't always work 100 percent. I believe this is the reason some chargers work and some don't. I also believe thats the reason iBasso supplied a USBA to USBC cable in the box. I do not believe it was ever supposed to fully support PD. This is just the most logical theory I can come up with. Let me be clear its not all Anker chargers and not all PD chargers. I had a few around the house that would “work” but my multi plug adapters and higher dollar GAN ones that I travel with seemed to be the ones having the issues. Im guessing its because of the chips in them. Im also assuming that the issues that some people are having with the device not charging or weird power issues may be linked to this as well. I figured this out by running the 340 completely out of battery and then plugging it in over night and saw the battery come up and then never looked at it till the next morning. That morning I went to turn it on and it was dead. I plugged it back in and nothing. I tried a different charger and cable and the battery icon came us and said 0 percent which prompted me down this rabbit hole. After that I started playing around with different chargers and bought the usb voltage monitor and found that some chargers will cycle on off on off on off, ect. If you have it powered off you may never even notice if you don't know what to look for or walkaway from it. I bought an Anker prime 140 watt charger that will both run the USBC to 12 volt cable for the DC in and both charge the 340 at the rapid charge of 9v with no issues what so ever as long as I plug in the 12v USBC into the port that has a computer on the port, this keeps the charging block from cutting off the port at a low output that some have reported when trying to run the DC in off of a USBC cable and plugging the 340 it self into the USBC port that has the picture of a mobile device on it. If I do it the reverse way the port will shut down on the DC 12v in. I also found a Aohi 40000mah battery pack that will charge at 130w from the Anker prime charger to charge the pack. At the same time it will provide the 9 volts to charge and the 12 volts for DC in at the same time both via USBC and PD and does not seem to care which port I use nor does it shut off the port when the DC out wattage is low. So its hit or miss on PD charging via USBC. If people are looking for a sure fire no issues use the supplied cable with a 35 watt charger and you will never have any issues charging. For battery packs the Anker 737 and Anker prime work good. Use the USBA to charge the 340 and the C to run the 12VDC. This is what Im running at the moment with no issues. The new FW update has not fixed this?? I will get in touch with Bloom if it has not. You can use 36 watt USB C too. If your theory is correct Ibasso should just state thst usb c to USB C won't work right. If I plug in cable with Dap off and then power on it will work right with battery bypass. I just tested by unpluging while Dap on and plugged back in and it said charged but started running off battery. Powered off dap and it was st 96%. Powered on Dap and it says "charging rapidly" but been stuck at 96% for over an hour. This is usb c to c in 35 watt port. I am going to talk to Bloom about this and push this until this is either fixed or your theory verified correct. The max watt on my battery bank usb a is 18 watts so not enough for battery bypass I am guessing. It has not, the Anker and slim w products that I sent bloom to test still will not charge via usbc and PD. This is the brand but not the right cable. It seems to be out of stock.

I use this to charge the pack at 130 watts.

This is the 737.

This is the prime. Ive tried these so far and the Anker packs work fine as long as you utilize the USBA to charge the 340.
