Roon works phenomenal with the DX340 and allows up to DSD 512 with their oversample. I would be more then happy to show anyone how to use or set up Roon with there 340 or anything else.

Now with that being said, You can link HQP5 with your Roon and use its filters, modulators and sample rates thought and use Roon as your controls.

Bets of both worlds for a USB DAC situation.
I do not have a HQP 5 license for this computer and will not spend the 300 on it for it, As i wont be useing Roon as much i wont have a need for HWP5 this year I thing, Might be a 2026 thing.

Now for Roon Endpoint... that's an iBasso and Roon thing.

Pozdrav
Hi, I have the DX340, and I tried using it as a USB DAC with Roon (HQPlayer as well). PCM formats (streaming Tidal and Qobuz through Roon) work fine, but when I switch to DSD upsampling, I get noise... I installed the Windows drivers from the manufacturer's website.
Can you help me?

Make sure you are on latest FW - FLASH to it if not. One of the issues it is suppose to fix is noise in USB DAC mode.

I see, I was looking for the installation instructions because I have the latest firmware, but it was done via OTA.
If you could be so kind and share the link to the firmware installation guide, I'd really appreciate it.
I just thought that maybe I used the wrong USB cable (USB4 C->C). I'll try using an older standard later.

Supporting the Ibasso community has become the hobby for me as I am done buying gear except for amp cards for 340 of course. Happy to help. Let me know if you have any questions when you flash.

Is this the installation of the official firmware or a root?
I mean, will I lose the warranty after such procedures?

No. Just use Flash guide. It is used by Bloom to fix DAPs - Make factory new software-wise. Rooting is another guide and does not void warranty and not required to just Flash to a FW.

Alright, I'll do it after work.
Does that mean that this procedure should be carried out on every unit? Or only when there are some issues?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'd like everything to be clear.

Anytime time you are having strange issues I would flash. Anytime there is a new FW update I would flash vs OTA.

V 1.03 is supposed to solve usb dac noise but I don't use that function so can't speak on if it is solved or not.

Well I just got DX340 and THIS is what I'm talking about. I inserted my Micro SD Card, and Mango Player is intuitive and easy to use. Using the different harmonic settings is great. Gonna install the AMP 16 and give it a good listen as well in a bit.

But whats great is both Netflix and Crunchyroll work! First DAP where I can watch videos on the DAP and have great audio on an OLED display. This is what Im talking about! Roon, Mango Player, Video Streaming all with great audio. Using my Dan Clark E3, Mega5est, Variations and Astroliths sounds great!

Try Super Gain and you will really be in love. If you are going to watch videos make sure to use battery bypass mode. If you bought new give it time to burn in and bass will improve. It's a bit weak out of the box even in super gain.

I know Ibasso will fix some things in the future. Have Bloom on Paul to fix battery charger issues.
