Can anyone,in simple terms, explain why the amp 8 is regarded as better than the stock amp? I have connected Nighthawk Carbons,Oppo PM 2 to the stock via balanced and the results are simply excellent. Clearly I can buy an adapter for the 4,4 balanced, and I do have Sennheiser 660s which use this connection, but seriously wandering if it’s worth it. I did wander about amp 9 too but it only has 3.5 which cuts out use of some of the headphones I have.

Amp8 is the only discrete amp design with matching transistors for both channel.

Ok. Power. For the headphones listed stock has ample. I also haveAmiron Home,T1 gen 2 which really do require power. 600 ohm on the T1. I run them via headphone amp. Is power the only advantage? I accept for many headphones that’s a massive advantage but the stock seem to be pretty potent.
Sono estremamente indeciso tra Ibasso DX220 e Plenue PL
The DX220 sounds better IMHO
Just tried IT04 with AMP9 for the first time... Was quite surprised with the background hiss.
I too use this every day and have never noticed any kind of "hiss".

Do you hear the differences ? If not, then why bother ? If you haven’t listened to it, then give it a chance.Ok. Power. For the headphones listed stock has ample. This is not like boyfriend and girlfriend relationship man. Once you are in, you can hardly get out. The only thing similar is that you would never known the real answer according to your unique preferences, until you try it....regardless if it is an Amp8 or a new girl friend.
A plate of food that look good, doesn’t necessarily be good to your tastes....a sexy looking girl friend doesn’t mean that she is your dream of happiness.....a good looking amplifier and specifications or measurements ...just doesn’t mean that it would satisfy your needs

Bring DX220 to another level with modified amp8 you won’t regret. However, to my ears amp9 would sound much better if you listen with IEM/CIEM which has plenty of power.

[/ CITAZIONE]

Does anyone here in the States have one of the TPU cases I could buy off them?
