What's the best micro sd card you guys recommend for this DAP?
I need at least 256GB. Does it read UHS-II?
Samsung evo select or lexar 512

Sandisk extreme A2, or any a2 standard card they have more than double the IOPS of a1 cards. My dx 200 has become far more responsive since i put this in. In mango os, artist menu appears to be twice as fast as with my previous card. Would always suggest the fastest card possible, for better performance.

The main difference you are paying for with most of these faster micro SD cards are for write speeds. There is not much difference in read speeds. The only real benefit is when you first copy over your whole music library onto it. Kind of a waste of money getting fast cards for music if you ask me. For photos and 4k videos, that's when you'll take advantage of faster cards

+1

I ain't ever going to use Samsung Evo plus cards again, I had two 128gbs and a 256gb card that died and had to be RMAed. The Pro versions are great but expensive. Very expensive.

Kingston cards are waaaay too slow. SanDisk Ultras are good and cheap. The extremes are faster but if you want to spend that much why not just get a Samsung Pro.

I have the same exact A2 Sandisk card in a 128gb capacity (122gb used). But it's not very fast in reading.
Scanning the full card always puts the DAP to sleep and as a result the scans are always incomplete.
