DX220 is my bed time audio player, so I don't care its heat nor its weight. Lucky me.
For more serious listening I've my Oppo PM1 with Kevin Gilmore dynalo in dual mono setup.
Can not update my DX220 online, how must I proceed to install them manually. I copied the files I found under iBasso/Download on my Player. Then I click manual update but the files are not found... Thanks in advance for your help.
On the heat from DX220. I don't know about you guys, but the DX 220 is a bit too heavy and too warm to be used while walking etc., at least in warm weather. If I want to listen to music while walking on the beach, I will use my HiBy R3 or my old Sony 17. I won't even use my Sony ZX300 which does not get hot and is somewhat lighter than the DX 220.
DX is good for sitting on screen porch with DX 220 on table beside you just grooving.
NC, come on, I lived in Greensboro. Im from Miami Beach. Im living in Hong Kong, way more humid then Miami. 3 hrs on foot, buses, trains. I take Hugo with me and AK with me with headphones , dx200 and th900 and I carry a back pack with towels and three shirts, water, umbrella everyday.
I believe that Poor CPU (c`mon What the hell this rockstar is) makes the heat management of the device terrible. However, what i do not understand is some guys believe himself to be at the level of HBB, which have said `do not pay double to DX220`. LOL

I am in 2nd week trial with QoBuz, and there are all short of different things that make me want to cry. It is no better than YouTube for rediscovering your music or find out new music....beside that, nothing outperform a good CD to WAV rip, and dedicated player with good firmware OS and App....for example, the Dx220/200 with MangoOS and Mango Player
Where does the DX220 score (the most) vs the DP-X1? I'm still happy with the DP-X1, paired with the Headstage Arrow 5T but the DX220 triggers my GAS...
Cheers

I did some listening tests (before i got DX220) between MQA Tidal and Qobuz 24-bit HiRes. I did find Qobuz more lively and had a bit more emotion in the songs. After few tests, I cancelled my Tidal after using it for 2 years. My only problem with Qobuz is, like you said, it cannot recommend new songs based on the current playing song. Loved that in Tidal, heard a lot of new music with that!
I know this is a DX220 thread but with all the knowledge here I'm hoping for a little leeway. I'm burning in my DX220 with the supplied 2.5mm cable that came with it. I'm using the MDR-Ex1000 at the moment and I needed a 2.5mm balanced cable so I purchased this and it is on its way to me at the moment.

Personally, I do love the convenience of Tidal/Qobuz. For example, I just pulled up Depeche Mode about an hour ago. Bam! Nearly all the LPs, EPs, Singles, Remixes, etc. at my fingertips.
But--completely agree--it doesn't compare to a good Redbook Wav on local storage. Even MQA streaming doesn't sound as good as native Wav to my ears, at least not on the DX220.
