Hey ! Just got my DX220, what a beautiful device.
A few questions about burn-in: ATM I can only stream low-res file from soundcloud, and at low volume. Does that affect the burn-in by any means ? Is the file quality related or is it all about the current going through the components ?
Is the low volume going to affect the time it would tike to burn-in on the long term if I only play at low volume ?
Thanks !
Only a liar can say about "sound improvements", especially speaking about bit perfect sound path, because, obviously, tastes are so different! Of course, it affects the sound signature, but for how much and for which kind - it's up to the particular listener to decide. You'll never hear "my firmware improves sound" from me for the aforementioned reason.does this further improve SQ in Mango mode, or is it just for efficiency?
Dunu has finished cable with similar connectors like that for 299USD, kinda pricey: https://penonaudio.com/dunu-hulk.html
Sorry, I forgot that, unlike DX200/DX150 users, DX220 newcomers might not have Rockchip drivers already installed I've updated descriptions providing the drivers.Just an update. I installed the Rockchip driver just to see if it would work and it sure did. So that's what was missing.
After short burst of DAP ..., this one is my end game for now. ...
So, regarding Amp1 MKII VS Amp1Ti
The Amp1 MKII is an obvious improve from stock Amp1 on the former Dx200. This is basically an Amp1 Modified which is inspired by Amp1Ti. The differences is that Amp1Ti has that Toshin Kogyo capacitor.
**disclaimer** this comparison is just for fun, as you can not buy Amp1Ti, and for the research purposes.
The Amp1 MKII is very similar to Amp1Ti, the only differences is the trebles. The Amp1Ti is sweeter, less grains and glares. It does not happen to all songs, but it certainly do so.
